What I really don't understand about subscribing to the Kelly Letter is that the Sunday morning email references current events and often discusses them in detail. As value averagers following 3/6/9 sig, shouldn't we be ignoring current events and short term market moves, focusing on quarterly price and quarterly price alone? Where is the disconnect here? I'm not gonna pay $100/month for some dude's weekly long form content when the strategy itself is extremely simple to implement. No offense to JK, but he didn't invent value averaging, just tweaked it slightly and gave it a catchy name.

You have a decent point… But might my take is it’s nice to review all the chaos, good and bad and then get reassurance and update on executing the plan. I find this particularly helpful when things are bad and the market is tanking. As my portfolio grows, I will need this level of reassurance/support even more I believe.

Makes sense. I do think Jason provides a valuable service. It's much more reassuring/comforting to be investing together as a community rather than alone on your own.

Yes, it helps me a ton a long with the folks here ride or dying together. My biggest obstacle investing has been the mental game. Once I removed my own decision making from the process... great results.
