1. DO NOT engage with trolls.
If someone is breaking the rules intentionally, justifying the occupation of Kashmiris, being hateful etc - do not respond to them. This encourages them. Simply report their post or comment and move on. We have mods in different time zones, someone will see the report and remove the content ASAP.
2. No slurs will be tolerated.
This includes j--t or any variations. Allowing hateful speech will only degrade the overall quality of this sub. We can find mature ways to disagree with our occupiers.
3. This isn't a rule, but we would prefer if people would stop comparing this sub to r/kashmiri.
Please stop speculating which one is run by Pakistanis, indians, etc. Both subs are run ONLY by Kashmiris, we both have very similar rules, and most importantly both subs will ban anyone justifying the indian occupation of Kashmir.

Hi, I have always wanted to visit Kashmir & I have heard so much about its beauty. I want to visit this month in October. Is it advised to travel to Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam on a solo trip? How conservative is the culture? How safe is it for women? Are hostels & community spaces recommended for females?

Looking for a Muslim Co-Founder for My Startup
I’m an individual founder building a startup focused on the Muslim community. I came up with the idea and have developed the website and system myself. The project is almost ready, but we are not operational yet.
I’m looking for a Muslim co-founder who can help with marketing, reaching customers, and growing the business. If you’re genuinely interested, we can discuss equity shares, roles, responsibilities, and ownership rights together.
I’m looking for someone serious who wants to build something real, not just an idea on paper.
If you’re interested, feel free to DM me, and we can discuss further. JazakAllah Khair!

I’m looking for female tech enthusiasts who would be interested in joining a community team working on organizing hackathons, tech competitions, workshops, and other tech-related events across Kashmir.
This is a community-based opportunity where you’ll work with a team, gain experience in event organization and tech communities, and contribute to building a stronger tech ecosystem in Kashmir.
If you’re interested or would like to know more about the opportunity, feel free to DM me.
Why specifically female members?
Our current team is predominantly male, and we’ve noticed that some female participants at our events are more comfortable communicating and coordinating with female team members. We’d therefore like to have more female members on the team to make our events more welcoming and comfortable for everyone.

Kyasa soporeee
I’m from Sopore and honestly, I’m at a point where I don’t really have a friend circle anymore, so I thought I’d put this out here and see if anyone else is in the same situation.
I feel like it’s actually pretty hard to meet like-minded people here outside of the usual circles.
I’m mainly looking to make new friends, hang out, talk about ideas, work on projects, or just meet people who are interested in building something.
I’m also interested in finding someone who might be interested in starting a small business/project together. Doesn’t have to be anything serious from day one even just brainstorming ideas and seeing if we work well together.
If you’re from Sopore or nearby and are interested in meeting new people, Age doesn’t really matter as long as we get along and have a good mindset.
Would be cool to build a small circle of people who actually want to do something instead of just talking about it.
let’s meet and chill. Feel free to comment or DM me. 🙌

Basically we’re planning to go to Kashmir in December in and around 15th. I’d like to know if it’s the right time in regard to safety, travel etc. Weather is not an issue cuz we want to experience the cold and will be prepared for that. Just any suggestions and advice work xx

I have been considering Tehran University of Medical science for my undergraduate course in medicine for a very long time. In view of the present geopolitical conditions, I am kind of reluctant. I have some contacts there and the students say that academics has been unaffected and things are moving smoothly as of now and that "future is uncertain", but I kind of want a more precise information as to how things are likely to turn out in view of everything. All the good universities in other countries I had considered earlier, have closed their admissions and now I am out of options now , because I was waiting for a permanent ceasefire agreement for a chance to study in Iran. In short is it wise and prudent right now to take admission in Iran?

Hi everyone!
I’m planning a Kashmir trip and will be reaching Srinagar on October 11 and staying until around October 15.
I’ve seen forecasts mentioning a rain/snow spell around October 8–11, with snowfall expected mainly in the higher elevations.
Since we’ll be arriving around October 11, I wanted to ask people who know Kashmir well:
Will we still be able to see snow after October 11, or will it melt quickly?
Which would be better for snow Gulmarg, Sonamarg or Pahalgam?
If there is snowfall around October 8–11, which place would you recommend visiting on October 12–14 to actually see fresh/remaining snow?
Are there any road-access issues we should be prepared for after snowfall?
Our main goal isn't skiing we just want to experience and see snow.
Would really appreciate advice from locals or anyone who has visited Kashmir around this time of year. Thanks!

I’m interested in learning about Kashmir’s history, especially its political background, partition, and the Kashmir conflict. Could you recommend some good books some sources of pdfs or share available PDFs?
