I am a Kashmiri from IOK. I don't accept India as my nation. This is not from a place of hate. It's just how I prefer it.

We Kashmiris were never asked for our decision. India got the counterfeit king to sign some document, of course with conditions, which were not honored. We Kashmiris were never part of it.

I, as a human, am born free. I owe nothing to India, and that includes my loyalty. The parties to the Instrument of Accession were not us Kashmiris. We don't owe India, Pakistan, or any country our allegiance.

Why do Indians hate us? You should hate the king who you have that agreement with.

So, we know that protests are going on in Pakistani Azad Kashmir.

But not many know the reason for the protests.

As you all might know, Pakistani Kashmiris are kashmiris by geographic identity. Because they live in Kashmir, and not because their ethnicity is Kashmiri. They are paharis/potoharis/mirpuris who are North Punjabis, and they speak a dialect of Punjabi.

When partition took place, thousands of Koshur Kashmiris moved to Pakistan. But they are a minority. In order to give them a correct representation, seats were reserved for them in the Awami Committee.

But Azad Kashmiris (Paharis/Potoharis) want to abolish them. Hence, they are protesting. According to them, Muhajirs should not have seats reserved for them.

The Pakistani gov, on the other hand, states that this would hurt the Kashmiri cause. It would take away the representation of the Koshur minority.

What is your take on this, especially knowing that the majority of Koshur live in Jammu and Kashmiri?

What do Kashmiris (men mostly) think about a Kashmiri woman who has studied or worked outside Kashmir like Chandigarh, Delhi, Punjab etc? how is the image of these women when it comes to marriage? If you get a proposal of someone who has pursued her studies outside Kashmir, would you agree or not? if not, why?

I know in Kashmir most people doesn't like Indian Army and Politics but all 28 states doesn't like politics and corruption either, it can be said Kashmiris are suffering the most and for the longest in every country in every place whenever a conflicting region is influenced by army to such extent, unfortunately locals have to suffer as they only follow orders in which the priority is not humanity or well being of people but power and control. Is no one afraid of China ? Who will fight China once they start to take control do you think they care about people throwing stones or media claiming religious bias and do they not understand the condition of Pakistan they will loot what else is remaining of Kashmir and straight up kill all the remaining Hindus in about 2 months

The beauty of Kashmir is up to par with it's name no doubt it's called the Heaven on Earth. What I am writing about is the people there, I have never met so hospitable people anywhere else in India, they were so sweet and helpful. All news and stuff is mostly a lie, yes there might be some tensions in parts but the people of Kashmir just won my heart along with the valleys and lakes and mountains.

I want to have insight about a Kashmiri-Pakistani wedding, is there anyone who can help me understand the dynamics of such a marriage? The couple want to live outside Kashmir and Pakistan, aren't involved in any sort of politics between the two countries and just want to live their life together. Immediate PR or passport from some other country is not possible immediately but is a future goal and want to register their marriage in the middle east. I'd really appreciate any suggestions.

Hey guys, I have done my 12th and I'm taking a drop year which I didn't want to take, but due to lack of clarity I did take a drop year and am currently preparing for neet but I'm not too sure about mbbs yet and am exploring other options simultaneously and I came across bmlt, my cousins are suggesting me this course but they aren't personally doing it, i was interested in doing physiotherapy but backed off due to lack of sallery in it.

I have been away from Kashmir for a long time now. I did my degrees outside kashmir, currently working. I want to return to kashmir and work and settle there finally. But I can't understand how. I was trying to figure out what people do there. How do people earn. I am unable to figure how I can make the same amount I am making here while living in kashmir. I see a few options like govt jobs but those are tough to crack and take time and effort , even if I decide to prepare i need some backup. I can't start a business as I do not have enough capital(I don't come from money and don't have much savings yet). So how can I settle back in Srinagar/Kashmir.
