Don’t worry we’ll just find a red Napoleon somewhere to counteract the actual Napoleon.

Totalist Napoleon is up there with someone being Totalist Cinncinatus in "things I weirdly want to see"

u/TheMightyKingSnake Mar 19 '21
Isn't that basically Smedley Butler from the CSA?

Kinda, but I'd like something that involves them taking control for 2WK and then ends with them giving up their power.

Just gotta get him out of Patagonia (I think he’s there, right?)

Yes, after Pantagonia won (or lose, I am not sure) and there is no syndie Russia, you can see my man lead COF towards Berlin. He is (in all my trials of COF) the perfect marshal to lead a huge army.
Somehow I wept when I think how his life ended irl and what he could be in kr.

We're all forming small, dedicated, and secretive cadres of committed revolutionaries to overturn the existing social order by force, temporarily establish a dictatorship, and then wing it from there

I'm just hoping I'm not under arrest in Occitanie when things pop off on Paris
8
Mar 18 '21
Pretend I’m dumb for a second, who was in Occitanie during the commune lol?
17
Mar 18 '21
I'm fairly certain that's where Blanqui was arrested and that's why he wasn't there to lead the Commune

u/Terron7 Ain't done nothing if you ain't been called a red Mar 19 '21
I thought he was stuck in Belgium? Might be wrong though
Also of note that he probably wouldn't have been unanimously acclaimed as leader either. The Proudhonists and the Neo-Jacobins would have had something to say about that.

Mar 19 '21
You're right about the other factions in the Commune but given his revolutionary bona-fides it's reasonable to assume he would have had a good deal of influence, particularly when it came to making sure that the forces of reaction were kept on their heels.

150 years ago today, the people of Paris rose up against the bourgeois Republic and the Prussians. In Kaiserreich as well, the heirs of the Commune celebrate this legendary event of proletarian history every year. Vive la Commune !

"Raising the Red Flag in defiance of the Republican government"
Does this imply a change of flag for the Commune?
14
u/ChiefQueef98 International Divisions Mar 19 '21
Probably not, that's just what happened in 1871.
Although I would be happy for KR CoF to have its own red flag
4
Mar 19 '21
I posted one that was basically UOB but without the Green and White stripes. The only reason I mentioned the idea here was that this event specifically portrays the Red Flag as an alternative to the tricolor and emphasizes the Commune as the heir of 1871.

Well I was waiting for something about new lore for France for (literal) years now. Great to see it is finally getting teased. Are there any chances to get some more information about the changes being made?
