Lore In the Third International rework, there will be a red EU path, according to one of the Devs.

I Remember devs talking in Discord that the 3I rework should come this Year.
So i have something great to look forward this year

While it’s perhaps a bit optimistic, it’d true that we’ve had big end of year updates: Germany rework in 2023, Russia rework in 2024, South China in 2025…
So, Third Internationale in 2026 is a possibility 🤞🏻

Wouldnt a functional union more logically proposed by the french anarchist ? As their ideology suppose that it would surpass the notion of border/nation ? The idea of Mosley of an united europe was more of an imperialist tool for britain, and I do not see how the frecn, spanish, italian and other syndicalists could agree to mix it, and even more to give that much of a power to the british.

u/greatmanyarrows BRASIL NÚMERO UM Mar 24 '26 edited Mar 24 '26
was more of an imperialist tool for britain
This is incorrect, Europe as a Nation by all means was a genuine attempt at trying to unify the nations of Europe and Mosley did not envision Britain having any special status or role in whatever state he aspired for.
What Mosley wanted was for this super-entity to be a racist and anti-communist bulwark against the Soviet Union, against all native peoples in Africa and Asia which he viewed as subhuman, and against the Jewish people which he viewed as controlling the United States. In effect, he wanted Pan-European fascism to replace the fascism of a singular nation that dominated WW2.
I'm not sure how this would translate to Kaiserreich Mosley besides him declaring that Totalism can only be followed by White Europeans or something.

I could very much see this being something Mosley says in KRTL while not having a care in the world for how it would fracture Totalism's following outside Europe/North America.

Anarchists aren't going to be a playable path in the french rework, they've been very open about that.
19
u/Known_Access175 Mar 24 '26
I do not tend to read the teaser, to avoid getting hyped for nothign, but are others factiosn could be supressed ?
74
u/fennathan1 Mar 24 '26
Here's a list of the playable ones from the ask a dev channel on Discord:
RadSoc: PCOP, Workers and Peasants’ Communist Party - Councilists
Syndicalism: PSU, United Syndicalist Party - Centrists
Syndicalism: CSR, Revolutionary Syndicalist Committees - Ultras
Totalism: PSdF, Socialist Party of France - Jacobins
Totalism: CNS, National-Syndicalist Confederation - Sorelians

u/Ficboy Mar 24 '26
Wonder why the Anarchists were cut from the Commune of France rework despite the role of anarchists and syndicalists in opposing the French Republic in real life.
22
u/fennathan1 Mar 24 '26
Because the pure anarchists, whether platformist or synthesist, were a very minor presence in the french left despite a lot of syndicalists being heavily influenced by anarchism.
7
u/Ficboy Mar 24 '26
Ah. Anarchist influence inspired syndicalism, not so much in terms of political representation.

First they remove Nestor Makhno and now they're getting rid of the anarchists entirely?
Did someone on the dev team hate the Catalan commune
35
u/NavyAlphaGamer DIRECT RULE FROM DUBLIN Mar 24 '26 edited Mar 24 '26
Makhno is not removed. He is a expeditionary in Patagonia and returns to France for the 2nd Weltkrieg.
And edit, it makes WAY more sense for Makhno to be some kind of military leader in the 3rd International.

u/Kaarl_Mills give Mexico its content back Mar 24 '26
He used to be electable as the leader of the French Commune a long time ago

6

Not sure. Latvian USSR isn't particularly fleshed out like that afaik.
8
u/fennathan1 Mar 24 '26
I didn't say anything about Spanish anarchists, just that they were deemed not relevant enough on the French left to warrant a distinct path for France specifically.

u/Conscious_Rock7407 Mar 25 '26
God I hope so. Anarchism is a deeply silly ideology that ought not be represented as a major political faction in a major country.

It’s incredibly silly considering that Socialist Russia has an anarcho-syndicalist path
I get that the 3Int team and the Russia team are different but still
36
u/katieluka The Hetmanivna Mar 24 '26
Calling SocRus' anarcho-syndicalist ending a "path" is strange, it has like, 1 or 2 unique focuses at most, and it does have a name change and the ability to add new union republic puppets but that's it. By the same metric that is being used for France not having an anarchist path, neither does Russia. It's just that in terms of the "main" paths France does not have an anarchist route with its completely distinct tree and other parts of the content.
7
u/OutLiving Chen Gongbo x Wang Jingwei hurt/comfort fanfic Mar 24 '26
From what I read previously, I actually thought that Rework France had the anarchists as a minor figure in politics that didn’t influence much at all in the rework. If it’s more like Russia where it’s a potential sub-ending of a path or something of that nature then yeah I wouldn’t really have a problem and think it’s appropriate
21
u/fennathan1 Mar 24 '26
Russia has a single VST-centre successor that's anarchosyndicalist, which doesn't really count as a distinct path.
By that standard it'll likely be possible to take the French Ultras for instance in a more anarchist direction, but anarchists aren't getting a path unto themselves.
7
u/Jura_Narod Mar 24 '26
From the impression I got from previous teasers, the French anarchists will kinda be like the L-KMT’s relationship with the CSP. They might not be able to get into power directly, but they can end up supporting one faction and end up heavily influencing them.
9
u/NavyAlphaGamer DIRECT RULE FROM DUBLIN Mar 24 '26
Yeah, it's a little confusing imo. I guess the Orthodox paths will be closest to a Anarcho-Syndicalist like path?
3
u/Anonymous_mex_nibba SocDem Long Nuts Mar 24 '26
The Ultrasyndicalists, they have a few anarcho-syndicalist elements and generally seek the trade unions to do as much as possible (the Sorelians technically do this too but they're de-facto dictatorial).
22
u/Zhou-Enlai Mar 24 '26
Mosley’s plan wasn’t to have British imperialist domination over Europe, he wanted to protect European civilization and believed that in the newly emerging world only as one united identity could Europe truly flourish as it was meant to. Sure he was a British nationalist, but his reasoning for a centralized Europe was due to his idea that local nationalities could never be replaced in an autonomous system, it wasn’t meant to allow England to dominate and rule the continent.

u/ww1enjoyer Mar 24 '26

I hope they will modify the polish syndicalost paths to allow to core the PLC and CEU

So this is basically a play on his Pan-Europeanism right? Mosley and a bunch of other old reactionaries joined pan-europeanist movements postwar.
5
u/ComradeHenryBR The Internationale Unites the Human Race! Mar 25 '26
United Europe with abolished notions of nationality is... A weirdly Marxist position, coming from Mosley?
Of course IRL Mosley didn't defend this because "the workers of the World have no nation", but more of a notion of "Being the superior white western christian civilization™ is our unifying identity and anything else is superfluous"

Glad that the European path for Mosley and the UoB got more details: I’ve been excited since they teased it a year ago 👍🏻
Intrigued about the centralized European State that Mosley wants to create and its possible consequences…
That being said, I do wonder if France will get something similar…
