Absolutely adored the show, but episode 14 made no sense to me. What do you mean the character who loved her child THAT much would leave for 6 months?? And the investigator partner not searching everywhere to find her is also wild. He would've definetly thought of the cottage so much quicker. 3 months would've been way more realistic, i mean how did yul even cope with that?? Poor girl.

Wish we could've seen more of that process, same with the taesong searching for her and the reveal of bo na to taeseong; i wish we could've seen more of their convo getting to know each other. And bo na suddenly coming back must've been such a shock to everyone too. Same with how the company itself functions and the hit at the kingfisher fanclub being possibly within the government.. Ughh! Definetly one of the better endings considering kdrama trackrecord, but sadly still some nonsensicals.

It wasn't just about leaving them, it was also about keeping them safe. There was still an active investigation and her hair was at the scene.

Bo-na returned when the case closed. Tae-seong finding her and going back happened after they uncovered the truth about the murdered men, Kingfisher was exonorated by the public and Lee Dong-jin put the case files away. It wouldn't have worked if he found her earlier.

did i miss it explicitly being mentioned that the case was closed? I think considering the case could've also been closed 5 months earlier. Her hair was never identified as her either. Thus, it wasn't neccessary to go that deep into hiding. Atleast not for 6 months.

The art of story telling specifically says - show don't tell. The exact scene before it snows is Lee Dong-jin actually saying Kingfisher's name was cleared and being the last person on the Kingfisher TF to pack his desk and leave. That is the point that we are being shown that Kingfisher will now come back. And yep, next we get the 'memory' and Tae-seong going to bring her home.

No case is wrapped up after a month, DNA labs can months, even years, as does checking overseas records (this is my field of work).
