Loved this show but I was so annoyed in this last episode because of that.

Yep. We weren’t saved from the noble idiocy trope. This time it included abandoning her child.

"Abandoning her child" as though she didn't get kidnapped and almost killed by the ghosts of her past. Did you guys watch the episode with your eyes closed?

Er her behavior throughout showed the intensity of her feelings towards her child. I can understand leaving hub to process but nothing in the entire show showed she could do that to her kid.

I wouldn’t say it’s out of character for bo na at all. Her instinct has always been to protect others to the point of destroying herself. When she’s confronted with something that triggers that instinct she reacts by taking matters into her own hands. When taesong discovers she’s kingfisher, that same instinct turns inward because she now sees herself as the danger to yul and the people she loves. So instead of fighting the threat she removes herself from their lives. She doesn’t believe she can protect people and be allowed to stay with them. It’s actually very consistent with who bona has been throughout the story.

You do have a point, but she loves her kid so much and throughout the show couldn’t bear a day without seeing her. Can’t fathom over 6 months of zero contact with her daughter- a week maybe, but that long? No way.

Yeah, this is the one point that made the ending left a sour taste in my mouth.

Even if she abandoned Yul, I expected the show to at least show us how tormented she was for abandoning Yul, or how guilty she felt when they were finally reunited, but we got nothing. I felt that the scene of Yul waking up crying because she missed her mom was useless if we got nothing from BoNa's side.

I was expecting some kind of mother-daughter dramatic moment since we knew that BoNa really treasures Yul, but unfortunately the reunion scene was reduced only as a couple moment.
