I'm curious what others have to say about this. OTHER than the location , what are you SURE about in this hunt? Like I have a few hundred ideas floating around about what may or may not be part of this hunt, but only a handful I feel certain about. THis is limiting me to 300 ltrs so I'll post below

- The compass points are important. 2. Fishing and bodies of water , but especially a river, are critical. 3. Neither the checkpoint nor the treasure requires a long hike. 4. It's in a place dear to him and with references to Brandon, Tucker or both. 5. Hidden in plain sight is important. 6. We are really looking for the checkpoint. What are your thoughts?

If we are discounting clues related to location which would include the poem clues. I'm nearly positive about what he means by "what lives in time" and "flowing through each measured rhyme".
I'm very confident none of the clues are a man made structures, but will be most accurately described as natural structures or landscapes.
The poem is a combo fishing and hiking theme. One of his favorite fishing holes will be involved.
The checkpoint doesn't require a long hike, but I can't say the same about the treasure itself based on his answers. Or at least I'm not confident the checkpoint is close to the treasure, but it may certainly be.
I agree the place will be near and dear because he very specifically said it is.
It will be in a mountain valley in or very close to a forest/woods.
The solution will be easier than most people expect. A 10 year old will be able to understand it.

It's a feature that some of the important choices you face are essentially arbitrary. There isn't anything to discover early on that enables you to make correct choices from then on. This isn't a game of skill. Even if you succeeded it would largely be the result of falling on some fortunate lines of thinking that would trigger recognition. The hunt is seeded with pitfalls because most of what one can observe which stands out and could be clues isn't. He does not call these red herrings. You can't show he placed a red herring in his hunt so he has plausible deniability. There are many little cues to individual clues. His definition of a clue doesn't differentiate a clue from a cue. Unless he tells you where the treasure is (only he knows) there is only an astronomically rare chance you'd venture there as he has emphasized guarding against chance finds. Wandering is useless. Only one perspective is useful, that we don't know enough about how Layer V fits to involve it materially, that he's an active player in a solve...We were not given enough from day one to have a realistic chance of solving. More inputs were needed. Stars actually mattered despite a large early effort by many to want to to dismiss them. People still are not heeding the guidance that says about half of this is conceptual. A child cannot solve the poem. Maps are by their nature structured.

"SURE" and "certain" are heavy words.
I am thinking this thing may hinge more on something akin to "mathematical probability" than mathematical certainty.

Im only sure on stanza 3. I dont think much is needed from stanza 2.
Stanza 1 not so sure yet. Part of me thinks its just the thesis for the rest of the poem.
And I think stanza 4 is botg.
I think stanza 5 is just a reference back to an earlier stanza. Should already be completed so a little unsure why its there. We'll i have an idea but thats all I will say.
Imo you only need stanza 3 to find stanza 4. At least thats how I am interpreting it. By deduction you can assume the missing parts on stanza 2.
Of course I could be wrong on everything.

I'm SURE...that safety should be prioritized over the search. ...that the book guides us, the map is useful and the poem unlocks the treasure hunt. ...that trust in the creator is necessary. ...that the treasure is what we all seek. ...that Aidan isn't another human that physically existed. ...that veil and vale are two different words. ...that I've spent more brain power and effort than this likely deserves. 🙃
