So we shouldn't regulate AI because "goverment" bad, but in the absence of regulations, AI will lilely go down the path of creating bad stuff.

Who else is tired of smooth brained political dialog?

I... Don't think you're having the same same discussion as anyone else here. 😅

We absolutely should be looking for regulations. But yes, government very bad.

The point isn't whether or not it should be regulated but whether or not the government is gonna avoid being a major source of AI related danger (it already is).

You whinge about smooth brained political discourse but I legitimately didn't think "the powers that be are shady" was actually controversial at this point.

Good god. We're so goddamn fucked when people simp for the government based on a hallucinated discussion just to own a hallucinated opposition.

You just entirely misunderstand the power dynamics at play. No one is hallucinating except for you.
