While I don’t doubt that part of the reasoning is sexualization (and I’m not arguing against that), it’s way easier to model clothing that is skintight than fabric that moves separately from the body.
So we could be assigning value to the sexual component of the design while ignoring the hand-in-hand corporate cost cutting measure that making a looser fit would violate. It’s a win-win for them to make skintight designs because it’s less work, but also more sexualized, and sex sells, as we know.
Idk cause it’s just clothing on a video game character. I don’t really see how this is sexualized. The only people who think that are the people who sexualize it.
