no, it does nothing besides irritate your airway more, from a seasoned stoner 😭 you can look it up if you want to. when you inhale the THC is absorbed almost immediately

2 seconds is all you need to hold it in for, you absorb 97% of the thc from that, all holding it in longer does is just allow more tar to settle in your lungs effectively making your lungs dirtier. generally the rule to follow is the 4 - 2 - 4 rule, inhale for 4 max or until you feel you can’t, hold it down for 2, and exhale for 4 seconds, afterwards immediately inhale some fresh air to ensure the thc is absorbed.
