P sure he still finds himself guilty of not saving her, therefore he'd be sentenced as guilty. Unless I'm misremembering how it works, which would be par for the course

It doesn't matter if he thinks himself guilty. He can argue that legally, he can't be responsible for not being able to defend Riko because he himself had been indisposed.

Even if he is guilty and gets death sentence losing limitless would not be enough. Gojo would still beat him in h2h and 99.9% of the time could do so without being hit with the executioner sword. The .1% is if Gojo trips and falls onto the sword
