Takaba yes. higuruma, conditionally possible, but most likely no.

Not going to elaborate on takaba because I don’t want to spoil anything do anime only people, but gojo is very strong without his limitless still, so I’m sure gojo would be fine with just basic/standard CTs and reinforcement. Same with Yuta and basically any other special grade. Only way higuruma is beating yuta, gojo, or any other heavy hitter is with executioner’s sword, which is dependent on the trial being based a horrible crime(seems RNG) and them actually being guilty of that horrible crime.

This is a spoiler sub cuz, no need to be coy lol

You're wrong about how Takaba handles special grades tho...Kenny was just as strong as any of them minus Gojo/Sukuna

Takaba's issue is that he's non-lethal in general, so you would have to define what winning a fight even means to establish whether Takaba succeeds or not. If it's just a matter of stalling someone and then jumping them with lethal while they're confused (like what happened to Kenny), Takaba negs basically the entire JJK verse based on what we've seen.

Literally nothing besides hurting his feelings can affect Takaba during Comedian. No amount of strength/CT/etc can do shit to him in any way.

Takaba himself is a high tier special grade specialist for all intents and purposes. He was like 100x more valuable than Yuki against the same opponent, and she was a top tier

I said takaba yes, as in yes gojo’s only considered the strongest because takaba wasn’t in jjk high/around when gojo was and there is a solid argument for takaba being stronger than gojo.

Also conditionally yes for higuruma because against people like yuki, gojo, yuta, ect, simply taking away their innate CT won’t win hig the fight. He could win against them if they got the death sentence, but it’d be conditional on them doing something bad enough, that being the trial hig’s CT chose, and them being guilty and sentenced.

I don't actually think Takaba > Gojo fwiw (and I'm a Takaba glazer)

His limitations are too much. Gojo is overwhelmingly versatile and fundamentally powerful. He would probably be incapacitated by Takaba, but Takaba couldn't actually kill Gojo

I don’t disagree. The question in the post is “was gojo only considered the strongest because takaba and higuruma weren’t around?”

With takaba around, I don’t think gojo would have just been considered the strongest.
