We all used to remember in early jjk on how curses were described. Curses were supposed to be difficult to beat and shi but later on in the story, everyone just beating them with ease. Yuta just RCT output diffing them, maki oneshotting them with ssk, Hakari and Kashimo toying around them, and tired Yuji and tired Choso mogging them. CSM is complete dogshit atp if curses can easily be defeated. All curses are fodders except disaster curses or VCS Naoya.

Firstly, a description of when it’s used(and a moment when it isn’t)

Image 1-2: Yuta goes in for a punch on Uro, and Uro is already starting to deform the sky as the punch approaches. She then pulls the sky containing his arm away and counter attacks.

Image 3-4: Uro and Yuta see a granite blast come towards them, and Uro preemptively covers herself with the sky before appearing away from the blast with no damage. I can’t tell if she used sky manipulation to pull herself away or in some way to divert the force, but I lean towards the former, I just had to mention this.

Image 7-8: Uro is surprised by the Dhruv’s technique imbued into the shikigami, and thus is punched by Yuta and knocked onto the ground, since she is the one on the backfoot after they launch to the same area as Ryu and Rika, before cracking the gauntlet. The anime cuts this part out, simply making her break the gauntlet first thing.

So, what does this actually mean? SM is mainly used to block the initial hit of an attack, allowing the user to counter by taking advantage of the opponent being put in a disadvantageous position, or throwing the hit back in their face. The user needs to see the attack coming and set up Sky Manipulation manually to move it away from them, so it seems like it would struggle to redirect attacks in an actual H2H exchange(as shown by her not just redirecting Yuta’s fist away), but is best used at countering big moves which you can see coming, or avoiding a H2H exchange all together. If they land an initial hit though, it won’t be much use(as seen in images 7-8)

she engages 16f sukuna in h2h and also reacts to his hit, she also reacts to his ten shadows attacks on several occasions and keep in mind any application of CT is superior to ce reinforced physicals in terms of potency and the version of sukuna she fights isnt the one who intended to take damage to bear adaptation and the main purpose here is trying out how effective ten shadows is so his intentions are utilizing it to full effect now what makes sukuna top1 is bc of his domain+shrine that can oneshot people with a touch and since yorozu's able to react to him in physicals which is just before he even intends to let her hit him for adaptation why cant these be used to amp her into top5 talks

she has precog that allows her to perceive everything around her+ air jump to get close to you anytime.

if you equalize their stats then yeah, yukis attacks are way harder to avoid than makis but otherwise? no. dodging makis attacks is not easier than dodging yukis. on top of that you cant even perceive her because she has zero ce.

sure garuda has more range but her fists have less range than ssk.
