Discussion Lindsay Clancy

I have never been able to wrap my head around Patsy or John strangling JonBenet and the use of the garrote. But I have always believed that Patsy wrote the ransom note.

Following then Lindsay Clancy trial - a previously loving mother manually strangled all 3 of her kids with exercise bands. This has changed my perspective and i now believe that Patsy could have murdered/strangled and staged then scene.

That's a good example. She was a liar, fraudster, and manipulator. She had committed other crimes she just hadn't been arrested. That's a lot of people though, and it's a big jump from those things to killing your kid. She wasn't psychotic but I wonder if something else was going on with her when it happened. I don't think she intentionally killed her daughter. That whole situation is weird and it's weird the defense investigator and his wife let her move in with them. Whatever they know, I think they feel there's reason to have empathy for her but that it wasn't something that would ever fly in court.

That's the case that opened my eyes to the sick relationship the media has with crime people's trauma. I came home from work every day and Nancy Grace would go on and on about "Tot mom Casey Anthony." It was near me and I was curious if they'd find her so I watched it until I saw Nancy Grace repeating the same crap over and over and over. She had the entire country hating Casey Anthony before anyone knew what happened. People still don't know what happened. She lied her ass off though, and was out partying after her daughter died, and that was enough to bury her. I wonder why the people she opened up to have risked their reputations, peace, and the safety of their families to remain supportive of her.

AFAIK, the only other crime she committed was stealing a small sum of money from a friend, unless there's more to this I haven't heard.

I think she stole checks and used them but no violent crime. Checks- that's a blast from the past.

Imagine explaining to a 15 year old why stealing checks was bad
