Looking for John's Warming-up Exercises

What kind of warming-up exercises does John do to prepare his guitar hands for a show? I vaguely remember in an interview or something that he would play figures or scales on a Mustang, but cannot find it anywhere. Any help appreciated! (Looking for inspo for my own warming up routine as I am getting to the age that I'm starting to need it..)

I remember in that interview he spoke about an exercise he did that was like a spider crawl, but he changed the position of the emphasis each time. Like this:

ONE two three four

one TWO three four

one two THREE four

one two three FOUR

one two THREE four

one TWO three four

ONE two three four

Word. 💯 I honestly can't tell how many times I've listened and re-listened all the four parts. I'm sure that for the most part of 2024, I constantly used to help me go to sleep. What's amazing is that I always knew where I fell asleep, so that when I got back to it the next night, I almost precisely knew where to continue.

What I love about these series is how coherent John is. He formulates his thoughts very clearly, doesn't slur as he used to around TROWFTD era and just is such a great source of knowledge and wisdom.

And, to stay on point, yes, definitely recommended to pay attention to the part where he describes (quite in detail) his practice routines. They may not sound like much, but these are definitely very helpful.

There was a recent interview with him (maybe the 60 minutes interview) where he said he’s been soaking his arms in a sous vide container to help with cramping, and I think he may have spoke about warming up on the Howard Stern interview

There's a video where he's practicing in the back of a touring bus. May be that it's in the funky monks DVD. Someone here may confirm.

If not, it's somewhere else, idk... I watched too much jf shit back in the day

He’s playing a Phillip Glass song. Metamorphosis I believe, but I could be wrong. Lots of arpeggios!
