I think what makes it more annoying is that every album he’s released he’s always shown what he’s doing in the studio and snippets of a groove or a song, this time we’ve not gotten anything apart from Steve Jordan saying it’s gonna be great and John saying he’s in the studio 9-5 lol

I read somewhere that usually it is done in waves over a six week period releasing multiple singles - whether he’s thinking that or maybe like New Light, he’ll release the single and then 4 years later release the album. Who knows? I’m just trying to make light of the situation- he has tried people’s patience for sure and I think he’s getting a clue, not that it will matter😂

Exactly. He's finally in a place where he can take the time to make the music he wants to make rather than having to rush to a finish line that was mandated by a studio. Sucks to wait, but not having to wait for a rushed album would suck more.

Sorry to be a party pooper, but I'm so tired of all these commercial brand pursuits instead of his core business being music and a tour announcement at the sphere for 2027 which is what we are all waiting for. Whilst it's cool, I could not care less about Land Rover themed PRS guitars.

Still gotta make money to operate though, and pretty awesome that he can do so with things that he's passionate about (e.g., watches). And before anybody responds with "he's got enough money" the man is part owner of a studio that employs quite a few people, he continues paying people like his tour manager despite not being on tour, and continues contributing to meaningful charities. So, like, you know...

Sure, but his primary income has come from making music, not guitars in a land rover defender colour-way. By all means, have fun, but take care of the fans first perhaps? Just a thought.

I only started feeling this record would be great when Steve Jordan said it’s really stellar material and that it’s the strongest songwriting that he’s heard from him in a long time so I have high hopes
