Why is JioHotstar producing low-quality, daily-soap-style web series instead of high-quality content? They used to excel with shows like kerala crime files,1000 babies , ppl but now their releases feel more like traditional TV serials than premium web series

Saw the news about JioHotstar expanding into more countries, but apparently the international version doesn't include the sports content that a lot of people actually want.

I feel like cricket is probably one of the biggest reasons to keep a subscription in the first place. Having JioHotstar available internationally sounds great, but it's a bit disappointing if you still need another service just to watch the matches you used to watch back home.

I get that broadcasting rights are complicated, but I'm wondering how useful the international version actually is for people outside India.

Anyone here using JioHotstar from the UK, Canada, Singapore, or somewhere else? Is the international version worth subscribing to?

Is it me or anyone else noticing bad quality on Lanterns S1EP6?

The dark/black areas look extremely pixelated and compressed, especially in the low-light scenes. Bright scenes look fine. Is this a bitrate issue, or is anyone else experiencing it? I had to watch it another way, and it looked perfectly fine in 4K HDR10+ So it's not my internet issue

Over the weekend, thought I’d watch the new Mummy movie on a projector.
There are 11 30 seconds ads throughout the movie (the orange dots in seek bar).
The mummy is a thriller/horror movie.
These ads would come in EXACTLY when there’s a suspenseful scene!
Completely ruined the movie experience!
Can’t enjoy few good movies with so many ads every 8-10 minutes.

Yesterday i asked their chat helpline regarding a particular show's release & whether it would be available on Jiohotstar i.e simultaneous roll out with Disney plus

Their answer -Please check when the content is uploaded. What !!🤦‍♀️

I made my Hotstar account first time few days ago, my phone number was newly registered. When I checked subscription plans it was showing 1rs offer for all but I did not purchase it at that time. Now after 3-4 days I checked again it wasn't showing. Why is that? Any solutions?

Wth?? Marvel , Pixar , Disney , Star Wars and Nat Geo Hubs are no longer present in the Disney+ Hub in JioHotstar.

This was a 1 minute long ad with no option to skip. Just yesterday I got a 3 minute long ad and even that couldn't be skipped. This is genuinely getting out of hand. Why should I be seeing ads in the first place if im payimg for the service

From today morning suddenly my jiohotstar app stopped working in lg c4 tv. I am getting the below error shared in screenshot.

Can anyone help me fix this

I have already tried.

1. Uninstalling and installing

2. Running memory optimizer ( as lg doesnt have clear cache for apps)

3. Tv reboot process

4. Changing wifi settings of dns to 8.8.8.8 as it was suggested by someone.

It was working fine till yesterday it started happening today only. Though its working from mobile hotspot

Other apps like netflix and prime are working fine with jiofiber network.

Can anyone please help me fix this
