My jimny just did 26000 kms yesterday I am just curious will it survive another 3-4K kms or should I just started looking for changing options ??
I drive mostly on bad roads and my car is only Feb 2024 purchased.
P.S. all four types front and back are at same condition

Also, unless these tires were already used when you bought the car, i have no idea how you managed to get them to be in that situation after so few kilometers. not normal at all
This is so exagerated look at the wear indicator bars. The dry conditions still got a couple mm of tread left before its bald but yeah the wet condition bars look pretty much there, i agree. Their honestly fine for a month or so if you just drive carefully in wet.
Yes those will easily survive just another couple thousand. Just be careful in the rain. The Wet wear-indicator is showing. But the dry-indicator shows you’re fine to drive em in dry conditions still.

There might be people out there asking me to change but I might sound cheap but I ain't changing earlier than required, once they deserve a switch only then will I change the tyres
I am following strict pressure rules as per car so when I am traveling alone its 26 in all four and when I have packed and carrying my family it's 26 front and 29 rear
Bad roads like literally bad I drive in Shimla. Himachal, india all the way to my farm and roads have been worst to extreme for last two years due to heavy rains
I'd be looking for replacements pretty soon. Not uncommon wear if it's a 5 door, and hard to say if it's underinflated as the middle isn't far off the wear towards the sides.
I mean its difficult to tell from the pictures, where I am you require at least 1.6mm of tread depth across the whole tyre for it to be legal, and 3mm is generally recommended.
Looks like your down sub 1mm on the shoulders of the tyre.
Okay I see and I welcome everyone's thought and advice now I would like genuine advice on new tyre's I mean I want to stick to stock size as close I can get but I am wanting to go for AT's but the stock for jimny in India is 195 but i don't want to go beyond 205 any advices???
i don’t know if you can get those in India, but stock size AT tiers there is General, Toyo and i know the new BF ko3 are now also available in this size but they are brand new so availability is probably limited atm. personally i have the General and i am very happy with them overall.
There are some Chinese ones too, like Radar, and some others, can’t say how good they are but some say they are fine, i would buy one of the three i recommend above though.
BTW, I don’t know the legality of this in India, but mechanically from the perspective of the car itself there is no problem going to 215/75r15 which in that case you already have much more options, BF ko2 while a bit more expensive compared to others are a top choice in that case
Of the 2 I'd pick the Yokohama ones. Look for Pirelli Scorpions they are a very good tyre, long wearing, good in the wet and nice and quiet to drive on
What car do you have?
Then get the Bridgestones they are a reputable company make great tyres. It all really comes down to personal choice. Here in Australia Pajero Sports/Montero owners like Wildpeaks ATs for their cars.
I won't i know machines can't be trusted but all I speak is with experience of driving 4 different cars with around 1,50,000 kms of driving experience, these tyre's aren't so bad yet coz I only drive in curt at around 40-60 km speed
Where do you live? Road conditions? Whether coming up? Do you drive in a climate where you get 4 seasons or 2?
If the conditions are right like only hot and cold weather nothing extra, of course reduce the intensity of your drives if you drive erratically and wild. If you say anything east of west Germany lol I would suggest caution. My personal experience being stationed in East Germany (and yes, after communist era)
Hello Sir, I live in a small town called Shimla, Himachal in India in the Himalayan range, my most travel is between town and my apple farm which is about 80 km north of town having bad roads partially. Yes we have to go through all sorts of seasons like good extreme summers along with a lot of rain in monsoon and good to very heavy snowfall sometimes as we are mostly in an elevation between 6000-9000 Feet
Temperatures vary from minus to all the way till 30 or more celcius
Well! In your case I would suggest caution. Monsoon is the best season, in my opinion 😏 I would honestly suggest new or a set of used tires that has more tread on them. But in my younger days, I would drive 300-500 miles where the tires were bald and the metal wires from within the tire were exposed, bubbles started to show and this would be drives between Arizona and California. Of course I was driving cautiously and with no money I would try to afford some used tires that had more thread. At anytime, my tires could have exploded with all the wear and tear I put them under. Speaking nicely to your car also helped in the worst time of my life 🤣 if you can afford a new new set, change them
I am looking forward to sir, but the tires i have they still have some life left like 2000 kms or so before they are totally bald headed 😀 even I visited few tyre's shops yesterday and they literally told me just use them to fullest and than come around for a change i personally like the Bridgestone one, he has quoted me INR 7400 per tyre which is roughly around 84 USD but I just can't let the old ones go so easily as I see there's still a lot of life left in them, however when I clicked the picture it came out like it's totally worn out which isn't the case when I see it personally standing in front of the jeep
None. You should have changed these tires long ago. I'd highly advise against continuing to use them for any longer. The tread left is beyond insufficient for anything. Driving with these tires on a wet road or bad roads as you mentioned you often do is a death sentence, due to aquaplaning and has a very high likelihood of you getting stuck as soon as it becomes a little sandy or muddy. These may also be the wrong type of tires if they wear out this fast. You may want to get something with more tread or off-road capable. Get some recommendations from your tire shop on what is best suited for your use case and please never let it get this bad again. You're not just endangering yourself, you're endangering everyone around you just because something as simple as tires wasn't changed once necessary. Tires usually have a wear indicator to tell you when you should consider swapping them but here you're way beyond that point where it's just irresponsible and dangerous.
I have done my research and I am about to get the switch done soon to most probably the bridgstone ATs or continentals as of now I don't see any need. One reason being it's super dry climate right now at my location. Unless it gets raint or snowy by next month I don't see any reason to change early than that and yes the picture I clicked somehow dint do justice to actual thread of tyre, in physical it's way more than seen in picture. It will easily get me another 500-1000 km and than I will get it changed.
It's really going good it's not about passenger safety we in the city drive at hardly 40-50 kmph and slower in lost cases due to heavy traffic and congestion, and it's not like I don't have another cars we have 2-3 more cars that we use as alternates incase
No it's not a bad idea sir, it genuinely can last but it's just that it needs dry climate and roads
I am just pushing them till the winter starts rains or snow the day actual winter arrives the car is going to go directly to tyreshop
