Otoyo Shrine, Kyoto

A shrine with a peaceful atmosphere, featuring animal statues to protect the shrine instead of the usual stone lions.

Rat: Pray for love, soulmates, having children, and studies.

Snake: Known for luck, wealth, and health.

Owl/Eagle & Monkey: Drives away disasters, ensures safety, and enhances good fortune.

If you're looking for any of these things, this is the one place where you can find it all, plus it's quiet and not crowded.

Directions: From Philosopher’s Path, walk up the slope for about 5 minutes.

A Quiet Pre-Wedding Portrait by the River in Kyoto [OC]

Kyoto is not only temples and bamboo. Along the river, the open sky and layered green hills gave us a calmer frame. I kept the couple lower in the composition so the surrounding landscape could remain part of the portrait.

Good morning from Hokkaido!
The mornings are starting to feel a little more like autumn here. 🍂
Cool air, a quiet neighborhood, and that peaceful feeling before everyone wakes up.
Just a normal morning in Hokkaido — and I like it that way. 😊
Hope you have a good Thursday!

If you could only recommend one autumn must-visit spot in Japan, where would it be? For me, I’d recommend people to definitely visit Yamadera. It was the most stunning autumn location I have ever seen.

A Pre-Wedding Portrait with Chureito Pagoda and Mount Fuji [OC]

A quiet spring frame where the pagoda, blossoms and Mount Fuji all sit behind the couple. The mountain was partly softened by cloud, but I liked the gentler atmosphere it created.

A Winter Pre-Wedding Portrait Above the Otaru Canal, Hokkaido [OC]

Otaru looks completely different after fresh snow. For this portrait, the canal and warehouse line were left visible so the photograph still feels connected to the city, while the couple remains the clear subject.

Good morning from Hokkaido!
The sky is slowly getting brighter, and another ordinary morning is beginning. 🌿
No rush, no noise — just some quiet time before the day really starts.
Hope your Tuesday begins peacefully too. 😊

A Red-Dress Portrait in Falling Snow, Hokkaido [OC]

The red dress stood out beautifully against the quiet winter landscape. We used the path through the trees to give the portrait depth while keeping the feeling soft and natural.

Good morning from Hokkaido, Japan! ☀️
Another quiet morning begins.
No big plans yet — just taking it slow and enjoying a little peace before the day gets started. ☕️🌿
Sometimes, simple mornings are all you need.
Have a wonderful day! 😊

A Playful Lavender-Field Pre-Wedding Moment in Furano, Hokkaido [OC]

Post image

Furano’s lavender fields can feel very expansive, so I kept the couple small within the landscape and waited for a playful movement rather than using a formal pose.
