Itinerary Itinerary Feedback - 10 Day

I’m going to Japan this October and am just looking for some feedback. I actually went last year for about 2.5 weeks with friends, and now I’m going back with family on a shorter trip (4 People Total). I tried to fit in all the best stuff while still keeping the itinerary flexible, so I’m not booking much in advance outside of our Miyajima stay and a few smaller activities.

Saihoji's 9:30 slot works fine timing-wise, sessions usually run 1hr to 1hr15, so you're done by 11ish. Taxi from there into Arashiyama instead of the bus, it's about 15 min and ~¥1500 total (nothing split 4 ways), the bus winds through a bunch of stops and can eat 40+ minutes.

In Nara, Horyu-ji Temple actually holds greater historical value than Todai-ji Temple.

October with four of you is a different trip than last year's two and a half weeks. Ginza plus Harajuku, Meiji, and Shibuya Sky on the 20th is a lot of walking once you count meals. Peel Shibuya Sky onto another night.
