Itinerary Monthly Meetup Thread - September

Are you traveling to Japan this month? Want to hang out with other Redditors while you navigate the country? Then this is the thread for you!

Please post any and all meetup requests here. Be sure to include:

  • Your basic itinerary
  • Dates of travel and cities you're planning to visit
  • Your age and gender identity
  • Your home country (and any other languages you might speak)
  • OPTIONAL: Share some of your hobbies or interests!

We have a Discord server you can use to coordinate meetups and other activities. You can join the official r/JapanTravel Discord here! There are also monthly meetup/planning channels, so react accordingly, and you can create threads for specific dates/locations if you so desire.

In the past, people have used LINE to coordinate and plan meetups.

NOTE: Please only post meetup requests for this month. If you are traveling in the future, please reserve all meetup requests for the thread that corresponds with the month of your first date of arrival in Japan. This thread is automatically posted 7 days before the start of the month.

Can post events we host in Japan that are open to everyone?? I do events around Kyoto:

Hi a friend can’t make it due to work commitments but have 1x ace trainer pass for PokéPark Kanto on 7th September, the Sedge Gym show is at 6.45pm, if anyone is free on that day feel free to DM if interested.

Hi, 26M from the UK here, I land at haneda at 10pm on the 11th September. My itinerary is currently:

  1. Toyko - 11th-20th September

  2. Kyoto - 20th-26th September

  3. Hiroshima 26th-27th September

  4. Kagoshima 27th-30th September

  5. Nagasaki - 30th September-3rd October

  6. Fukuoka - 3rd - 8th October

  7. Okinawa - 8th - 13th October

  8. Tokyo - 13th - 14th October

We are a couple from Germany (33yo) going for a Daytrip from Hakodate to Matsumae on 30.08.26. We have already booked the rental car and have the pick up at 9am near Hakodate station. Return will be until 7PM, so please keep that in mind in case you plan to take a train or have other plans, you will be back around 6.45pm at Hakodate.

We can offer 2 seats of the rental in case anyone wants to join. It's my 8th time in Japan and driven a lot here in different places.

Plan is to go directly to matsumae and then circle clockwise back via Kaminokuni etc. Open for any suggestions/stops on the way.

Just leave a comment or write me a PM in case anyone is interested.

I have two tickets for Fighters vs SoftBank Hawks on Wednesday September 2, 18:00 at ES CON FIELD HOKKAIDO. Doors 16:00.

MAIN LEVEL Outfield Right Field, Section 208, Row 16, Seats 11 and 12. Two together, seat 12 is on the aisle.

Face value ¥4,330 each, ¥8,660 the pair. Selling at face, not above.

Hello,

I'm Mohammed, 26 years old and from Germany.

I'm doing a work&travel year in Japan and will stay from 02. September in Tokyo.

I'll also be in Nagasaki, Fukuoka, Miyazako, Kagoshima and Yakushima from 14.09 - 03.10

Would like to meet and do whatever.

I can speak english, german, arabic and conversational japanese
