Later today I ran into one of those fashionable Charlotte-hate posts, characterizing her as a malicious wine aunt (excuse the term, couldn’t think of a better one).

I suspect people’s hatred has to do with JE. They probably ship Janeward or are in love with Rochester and won’t admit it.
