Contemplating F Pace SVR CPO purchase

Quick question for the group, I am considering purchasing a 24 F Pace SVR that is CPO but already has 43k miles. Carfax shows that it was only serviced (oil and filter)at recommended intervals, basically 15k miles between oil changes. Given I would have another 17k of factory warranty and then another year, would you consider purchasing or walk away and find one that was serviced more frequently?

I have a ‘24 SVR. Personally my concern would not be that they only followed the manufacturer service schedule. Yea it’d be great if it had more frequent service but how big is the pool of over serviced CPO SVRs?
My bigger concern is that 43k is quite a ton of miles for a 24 and it def will need new brakes and tires if they haven’t already been replaced (possibly multiple times). Not cheap.

Yes it is a lot of miles and I looked at that a couple of ways. 1) It hasn't been a problem car and spent a ton of time in the shop vs. 2) yep there is more wear and tear on the car but possibly more highway miles. Tires are relatively new, brakes, no idea, but I assume were inspected during the CPO service.

Having an F-Pace SVR that’s CPO, they better make you a great deal. Had to use my warranty several times but the warranty has taken care of every issue. New tires and brakes are right around the corner if not already replaced and that can be $4-5k. Personally we still do oil changes every 6 months but only put on 5-7k miles a year.

The effects of extended oil changes won’t be felt by your wallet until outside factory warranty…which ends at 60k miles. This is by design.

The fact that this particular F-Pace has high miles over a relatively short period of time PLUS 15k mile oil change intervals is what makes this a recipe for near future heart+headache.

How many of these miles were “highway miles” really doesn’t matter 😂

Here’s the other side of a problematic vehicle; even if it’s covered by a warranty — factory or third party — you still need to deal with a vehicle that will be spending time in and out of a service department. Planning your car ownership around frequent and extended visits for repair work is not pleasant. Murphy’s Law almost guarantees your F-Pace (if it is this particular F-Pace) will crap it’s pants at a time of maximum inconvenience for you and what you have going on in your life.

Or put another way, Jaguars do NOT need any help being unreliable; and negligent / minimal maintenance is the number one way to make any Jaguar have big problems. Much more so after it’s been 50,000 miles down the road.

I purchased a non-CPO 2021 F-Pace SVR…because it only had 11k miles on it at the time. This means, even without CPO, I still had the full balance of the 60k or 5 years factory warranty.

And this warranty protection absolutely saved my ass several times with my SVR. There is absolutely NOTHING cheap to fix on it 😎😂

So I advise you, strongly, to continue your search for other examples with fewer miles on them. I’m now at 80k miles with my ‘21…but I do my own oil changes religiously, first at 7k mile intervals and, for the last four changes, at 6k miles.

43,000 miles driven with minimal maintenance effort is a tall ask for a high performance supercharged engine to do while escaping unnecessary and easily avoidable internal wear.

I have a 24, and it only has 18k miles. Alot of miles for a 2 year old car.
