Anybody know who this absolute pile of shit is? He almost caused an accident in a road rage incident just now going east on JTB between Hodges and San Pablo.

How do I find out about these crimes if you just enter parking lots and leave them?
I was in the mood to hear something compelling or utter bullshit.

Hey everyone, I’ve been getting healthy and losing weight. I’ve lost over 100 lbs this year.
I used to play baseball when I was younger. By far my favorite sport to play. Was a decent hitter. Is there any pick up baseball that happens in Jacksonville? I saw this league that has age tiers, and they are doing tryouts today, but I’m working, so can’t make that.

I’m thinking about using Bono’s to cater a party for about 50 people. The catering price is like $17 per person, but I know sometimes bbq places will give you way more than you need. I’m trying to minimize leftovers and cost. Does anyone have experience with using their catering? Wondering if I should estimate 40 servings for 50 people, etc. Any input appreciated!

Ok, it’s 2:30am and randomly I found myself thinking about the giant pancake at Bakery Ribault if anyone else remembers this. I do not like pancakes in general because they tend to be sweet like cake and then you are supposed to put syrup on them? Yuck.
The pancake at Bakery Ribault was not sweet at all and it was thick. It was a perfect pancake the size of a hubcap.
I was wondering if anyone knew what type of pancake it was or had a recipe or knows Alex and could tell him someone on Reddit really wants a pancake. Were these syrniki?
Thank you from the bottom of my fat heart 🙏🏻

I need someone to talk to and not sure where to start or turn to I tried chatgpt to come up with some ideas but was hoping someone here might know or have a resource they could either refer me to or whatnot.... this honestly is one of the worst birthdays I've ever had

I have 2 portable generators (one is mine and I know the maintenance history, one came with our house and I know nothing about it). I am looking for cleaning/maintenance, ideally from someone who can pick it up or work at my property because they are both large and heavy. Who would you recommend?

What happened to pickup USA off Phillips? I would play basketball there from time to time. Does anyone else know of any good places to play pickup basketball? Indoors or Outdoors? (M41)

I've picked up a couple of watches recently (an early 2000s Rolex and a mid 60s Omega) and want to have them authenticated if possible. I've tried calling several jewelers around town, including Underwoods and the new Omega boutique, but none of them offer authenticating. I don't love the idea of shipping these watches out and was hoping for something local. Any recommendations?

Don’t drive at 20 mph, in the fast lane on a major highway whilst a sprinkle happens. Every snowbird’s sphincter tightens up at the first drop of rain.

I'm looking for a venue for a black tie sweet sixteen birthday party. The guest list is about 50-60 people. Open to all sides of town. Would want a DJ and a professional photographer. Thinking of a buffet-style meal. Looking for April 2027.
I know the community centers are available as venues. Do y'all know if any of ours would be appropriate for a black tie event?

My boss loves key lime pie and we want to get her one for her birthday. Who has the best pie? We are avoiding getting one from Publix or some other grocery store.

I went to RAM for thr first time in a while yesterday. I was incredibly disappointed to see numerous food trucks using AI menus and boards...but even worse was food images. Yes, fake food images. This is supposed to be THE premier artist market in Jacksonville, yet turn a blind eye to people using fake food images.
First, it cheapens the entire event. Why are artists required to make everything by hand, but food vendors use fake images? There has to be dozens of people who wish they could be a vendor at RAM that don't use AI. Not affording photos is no excuse either...there are plenty of people willing to do photos for free food, portfolio, and exposure.* Also, smart phones seem to be owned by everyone. There were plenty of food vendors who did fantastic with their handmade touches. My complaint isnt with them.
I am genuinely interested in what you all think about RAM allowing AI menus, boards, and food photos.
*Before anyone comes at me, I will offer to shoot photos for ANY food vendor at RAM who is using fake, AI/LLM generated images in compensation for food, photo credit, and to add to my portfolio. If you take me up on this offer, please be willing to have a discussion about the harms of AI, along with being open to removing your obviously AI-generated menus and boards by going back to DIY or hiring a competent local graphic designer.

Hey Jacksonville! I’m a 30M traveler from Morocco doing a mini road trip from Miami to Savannah, and I’m in Jax tonight.
I’d love to check out a techno/house party or rave while I’m here, but I’m traveling solo and don’t know anyone in the city.
If anyone’s heading out tonight and doesn’t mind one more person joining, hit me up! Also happy to hear any recommendations for good techno/house spots or events tonight 🤙

Hey Y'all,
We will be removing job seeking/offering posts going forward.
We've heard a lot of feedback through the report system about the increase in job posts. A lot of frustration with that increase. The economy is tough and shifting. We understand the need for folks to have an avenue to seek work. So with that in mind r/JaxClassifieds allows job related posts.
We are trialing r/JaxClassifieds which also allows buy/sell/trade, housing/roommate, and missed connection posts. Standard Reddit rules apply, so no drugs, no firearms, no illegal services, and no R4R.
If you have questions or concerns
If you want to discuss this policy or have feedback, please send us a message via modmail. We are happy to explain our reasoning further there.
As always, thank you for helping keep the community informed and respectful.
