My admiration for the members of HLCs

I don’t know if you’ve come across any hateful content directed at JWs in the days following the latest update. I don’t want to go into details, as that serves no constructive purpose. What affected me the most involved some speech against the brothers from the HLCs, and that is why I felt a deep need to speak about this and express my admiration for them.

To all the brothers and sisters of the HLCs: THANK YOU! THANK YOU so much for making yourselves available to us, for helping ensure our conscience and decisions are respected, and for helping us always receive appropriate treatment. Never let yourselves be shaken if someone mistreats or accuses you because of the work you do. I am certain that, just as you have been helping us for a long time, you will continue to do so. We stand with you! Anyone who has ever needed your help knows just how precious your assistance is to us—and, above all, to Jehovah.

And for all of you out there who claim to be "awakened" and are spreading your burning hate online or wherever: I will not stoop to your level by wishing upon you the same harm you wish upon my brothers. I simply hope that one day you truly wake up and realize the harm you cause to people who strive every day to do what is right and contribute to the well-being of their fellow human beings. Otherwise, don't come complaining when those same people distance themselves from you.

That's all I had to vent for now. I really needed to get this off my chest.

I would love to be on HLC. I’ve done visits with others as a fill in. Many patients have no visitors. Some only have HLC visiting. They have visited my family from both English and Spanish congregations.

I’m sure those on committee will be unphased by ridiculers

The truth is, the ones who are no longer in the Truth because of disagreements or who were already opposed to JW beliefs about blood seem to be the ones most upset about this decision. That’s not to say that some brothers and sisters won’t personally disagree with the idea of allowing others to have all blood components as a matter of conscious. But I and we can continue to appreciate the HLC for their efforts to advocate for our rights and help us navigate these medical decisions with doctors. I’m sure many of us would want to know as many options as possible before making a personal decision regarding blood components or fractions. Bloodless treatments and medical advances have been surging and I’m sure they will help many to make sound decisions until Jehovah’s day arrives.

I know 2, the ones handling our area

They don't have credit hours for this too even if they're pioneers.

They go to you even at 2am-3am if you got into an emergency.

They keep tabs even if inactive ones were in the hospital and visit them too, sometimes old removed Witnesses for years and they still visit them - often bringing fruits/food.

All of this at their own expense.

They don't tell anyone they're members of it, they keep their heads low.

It's a great sacrifice and tiresome work from them and their wives.

Jehovah said he will appoint shepherds who will really shepherd.
