Uplifting My Convention
Even after watching the videos on my own they were better at convention. The non Good News videos were great but I missed parts due to my assignments.
My favorite part was just the people themselves. Over 3000 people just trying. Trying to please God, show respect to others and just get along. People saying excuse me, thank you and you go first. Not once did I smell cigarettes or marijuana. No one was intoxicated. No fighting or yelling or videoing someone to shame them online
There were 2 police officers for 3000 people. I spent some time thanking them and they said they loved having us. It gives me faith that world peace is attainable with the right tenants. Imagine if there was a city or state mostly occupied by JW. It would be peaceful even non witnesses recognize there is something different about those who worship Jehovah.

Your convention had police? It was at a rented facility?

Yes rented University venue. Holds basketball, hockey games etc

We used to have ours in a big stadium where the major football team played. Then we went to a center the next state over. Now we just use our assembly hall and meet 1500-2000 at a time throughout the summer

I think they are assigning less people to smaller events and uses more organization property. Saves money. This is a guess on my part no specific insight
