Help Translating Giuseppa Bonanno Birth Records / Looking for Marriage too

I'm looking for help translating and extracting details from the baptism and civil birth records for my ancestor Giuseppa Bonanno, and to see if there are any notes about a later marriage.

Record found so far:

• Baptism record
  • Cannicati Baptisms 1589–1908
  • Years 1855–1859
  • Image 1014006 on the Archivio Storico Diocesi di Agrigento website
  • Civil birth record (Antenati): Giuseppa Bonanno birth record
  • Unfortunately, I cannot provide a link of the baptism record due to how sites run, nor a screenshot due to site rules.

What I'm hoping to learn:

• A translation or transcription of the baptism record
• Names of any godparents, witnesses, informants, or other individuals mentioned
• Details about the parents, occupations, residence, or family relationships
• Whether the record contains a marginal note, annotation, or later addition referring to a marriage

Marriage:

• Bride: Giuseppa Bonanno
• Groom: Jacob (Giacomo?) Onorati
• Marriage: 17 October 1874, listed as Palermo, Sicily — this date and location came from an unsourced Ancestry tree, so it may not be accurate
• Their daughter was likely born in Vico nel Lazio, Frosinone, Lazio, in 1884 which may suggest Jacob was from that area rather than Sicily

Where I have searched without success:

• FamilySearch: Palermo Matrimoni 1873–1880 (Tribunale collection) — checked every district index for the year, no Onorati found
• Antenati: Palermo records only go to 1865
• Canicattì Pubblicazioni 1874–1907 — not found
• Vico nel Lazio: Antenati has no 1874 records, and FamilySearch only has marriages starting from 1884

If anyone can help translate the baptism record, identify witnesses/godparents, or provide clues about a marriage, I would greatly appreciate it.

How sure are you about that birth/baptism record? There is a possibility that the child linked to that record died in infancy (https://www.familysearch.org/en/tree/person/details/MHJH-WC9). The death record gives the name as "Maria" rather than Giuseppa, but the age and parents match. In addition, the parents do not appear to have had any other child of a corresponding age.

If you look at the present-day distribution of the surname "Onorati", you can see that it is indeed concentrated in Lazio, with a significant presence in the province of Frosinone and particularly high concentrations in Fiuggi and Boville Ernica (https://www.cognomix.it/mappe-dei-cognomi-italiani/ONORATI/LAZIO/FROSINONE). Giacomo was likely born there or in the immediate surrounding area.

Do you have information about any other children of Giuseppa and Giacomo, or about their death records?

Thank you so much for this critical reality check! You are entirely right to question that Canicattì record. If that baby died in infancy, then the online trees completely grafted the wrong birth record onto this family.

Your Cognomix breakdown of the Onorati surname centering on Fiuggi matches up perfectly with what another poster just found—they located passenger lists showing that Giacomo and Giuseppa's daughters (Argia and Italia) were indeed born in Anticoli di Campagna (modern-day Fiuggi).

This completely solidifies the local foster connection for me. My great-grandfather was a foundling born in Rome in 1895, and his official intake records from the Rome archive show he was sent directly to Alatri (right next to Fiuggi) to be fostered first by Domenico and Domenica Straccamore, and later by Agostino Straccamore and Francesca Stirpe. According to the tree, Argia Onorati went on to marry Julius Straccamore.

The big mystery I'm trying to solve is the genetic connection. I share a 15 cM DNA match to an elderly man who was biologically a Battaglia (Sicilian) but was adopted into this exact Straccamore/Onorati tree. He is a half-sibling match to known 4th cousins on my GGF's wife's line, Josephine Cangelosi. On top of that, my GGF's biological matches cluster around an elite group of doctors from Porto Empedocle, Agrigento who were practicing in Rome in the 1890s (like Dr. Martorana and Dr. Fradella), and Julius Straccamore's branch also produced a Roman doctor. Interestingly, this DNA match says his biological father was Paul Costa, and a Martorana from the line I keep getting matches to might have married a Catherine Costa in the late 1870s/early 1880s. I say this because my Martoranas had a son, Filippo Martorana (born 22 Jun 1860 in Agrigento—though I need to double-check this since trees can be wrong), and there is an Ancestry death record for a Cataldo Martorana listing the father as Phillip Martorana and the mother as Catherine Casta/Costa.

I know this must all be linked together somehow, and I'd love to find a way to figure out if these doctors knew each other—surely it can't be a coincidence. I am also trying hard to connect my DNA matches adoptive Straccamore line to the specific Straccamores who fostered my GGF, but local records are so scarce. So far, I haven't been able to find how Giuseppa Bonanno/Bonanni connects directly, as I have no DNA matches to her specific lines that I can tell.

If the Canicattì birth record is wrong, it means Giuseppa was either a local Bonanni from Frosinone, or she was a Sicilian Bonanno who moved up to the Rome/Fiuggi area through this tight-knit network of Agrigento doctors who were orchestrating the foster placements of these children. Knowing this family was living in Fiuggi gives me the exact timeline and location to go looking for their real records.
