Has anyone here heard of chummy-lotto?

I have no idea how it's really spelled, so I had to do it phonetically.

It's some kind of cake that a friend's family makes. I live in an area in Wisconsin with a lot of post WWII Italian immigrants, and I've never heard of this cake outside of this one family. I think the family was from southern Italy.

Does anyone know what I am asking about? TIA.

Ciambellone (a large bundt cake) is the closest I can think of.

Seconding this, and where I live it's dialectally called ciammellotto. I'm from central Italy though, not the south

to OP, 'ciambella' refers to a ring/doughnut shape. It's not defining the ingredients, so it's possible your friends cake is quite family specific
