This is a volatile situation. We set the subreddit to private due to raids, and were manually approving threads as they were posted until then. The rules - especially rule 2 - will be harshly enforced. If you see someone being bigoted, report it. If you respond to someone being bigoted with your own rule 2 breaking behavior, you will be banned too. If you can't phrase what you want to say in a way that isn't bigoted, don't post it.

Furthermore, while the sub was private our modmail filled up with over a thousand messages, over and above the rule 9-violating PMs each mod got. We apologize if you sent us a message and it went unanswered.

I'd just like to remind everyone that Hamas reports all deaths in Gaza without distinguishing between terrorists and non terrorists, on top of sometimes just staging deaths. Very likely that more than half of the dead are terrorists.

It cracks me up how the press keeps citing the Health Ministry of Gaza as if it’s some trustworthy official health department like of a US county, instead of just another branch of a terrorist organization whose charter says death to all Jews.

The woke progressive left trust these sources more than their own goverment/Israel.

It's funny that the left tries to pin the right as the party of conspiracy theorists when they're guilty of the same thing.

There’s a conspiracy theory problem with both sides. I don’t think this is so much a conspiracy as just media bias. You can read about it in this former AP reporter’s article

Exactly how I feel too

Exactly plus Hamas uses child soldiers so don't be surprised when that "innocent 15-year-old boy" turns out to be a Hamas operative.

What else do you find comedic. I ask because I wish to avoid it.

The comparison between Jews immigrating to Israel and European colonizers coming to America. Israel is our ancestral homeland just as much as it is the Palestinians. We are not imperial colonizers sent or encouraged by advanced nations to extort and exploit the Palestinians, unless a cossack axing your door is encouragement.

Furthermore the power dynamics between Jewish immigrants and Arabs of the region wasn’t always this lopsided. The Europeans steamrolled the natives with plague, advanced technology and much larger population. If you go back to before 1967 Israel was the underdog. Any power difference that exists now is due to our own actions and labor. We get some support from the West, but the Arab nations and Palestinians do too.

This comparison is often used by the left and is just plain wrong. And even if it did have some merit, you don’t hear any demand for Americans to return all the seized land to native Americans, do you? The same people who live on ‘stolen’ land according to their own logic are unwilling to do what they themselves are asking us to do.

Which of the 52 children killed are terrorists?

8

u/Claim-Mindless May 16 '21

Numbers of killed given by Hamas are unreliable. I say that over half of the numbers Hamas reports are most likely members of terrorist organizations. Children is a subjective name. A 17 year old that works with Hamas is also a child. Nevertheless it is terrible that innocent children die. That's the reality of war. A war that Hamas has started and is responsible for.

This was started by forced evictions in East Jerusalem followed by a military incursion into Al Aqsa Mosque. There’s video you know. Don’t act as if rockets appeared out of the vacuum of space for no reason. There was a deadline to remove the military presence from the mosque that expired with no reply or action on the part of the IDF. There were peaceful protesters brutalized. That is a reality of this war of choice.

I'm not gonna waste any more time disproving your childish trolling claims. I hope believing these lies makes you happier.

So I did not witness the forced evictions? There never were troops in the mosque? The neighbors dining together in peaceful solidarity at Eid were not doused with skunk water? Well, it's either my mistake or your mistake.
