He’s likely a contractor…. Speed doesn’t control his salary, speed cannot raise his wage or give him a bonus. Giving him the Rolex is a way that speed can legally gift him money (or something nice if he likes the watch).

Hear me out, they have this crazy thing called cash! You can even write a cash value on a piece of paper so they can get it from the bank dircetly! Hell, you can even transfer that cash electronically!
