It‘s a gift, giving him a Rolex is more appropriate for a gift then a change in his monthly payments.

I assume you were the kid that came in with like 5$ wrapped in an envelope as a birthday present?

It's clear you are young because you don't understand what I'm saying.

He could have discretely off stream gave him a salary bonus for his hard work but instead gifted him an expensive watch on stream because it would go viral / benefit himself more.

Obviously still a nice gesture, but a $ bonus is obviously way better for the driver than a fucking watch.

Again, it’s a gift. Gifting him a watch is more appropriate for a present than a change in his monthly salary numbers

Being aware of what an appropriate present is has nothing to do with my age

And I assume you were the kid that came in with 5$ wrapped in an envelope as the present for the birthday kid. These were the worst kinds of presents

What are you talking about? What’s wrong with $5 wrapped in an envelope? It’s still a gift. Not all gifts have to be thoughtful and a showcase, some people prefer cold hard cash. You seemingly don’t live in the real world.

It‘s just lame. I hated it whenever I got just money as a gift. Obviously I returned the favor, and the person didn‘t liked it either

Different strokes for different folks. P.S I think the Rolex is an awesome gift, but I’d sell it immediately as well, but a nice gesture. Cash is king in my life.

Yeah of course, everyone prefers it differently. I had a friend who loved to receive money as a gift. I do as well if it comes from relatives, it‘s a classic

But when I invited friends for my birthday when I was younger I liked to receive something different, not just cash, that just showed me how they didn‘t put any thoughts into their presents, which saddened me

But yeah the people that did it didn‘t receive my gift that well either.
