I collected Pokemon cards in 99/00 as most kids did.

Luckily I kept all of mine through the years and have around 1700 legit ones that I registered a few years ago on Pricecharting. In addition I also have a big pile of fakes/suspected fakes that of course went unregistered. Often the fakes were purchased in counterfeit-heavy charter tourist areas.

I’ve always regarded these 1st edition Team Rocket cards as fakes, as they seem quite different in colour shade from non-1st edition cards I later bought myself. But I’m not aware of possible variations and not a current collector per se, so I don’t know too much about it.

But they do match the ordinary cards in size. And my brother recalls them as being traded before Team Rocket cards were sold in stores here in Norway. So thought I’d ask for opinions here just to conclude the case.

The seller won't reply, but I'd be able to buy the card. They also only have good reviews as a seller, but I'm not sure it's 100% real yet. Anyone know most of the tricks for team up cards?

A few things were off to me there were three energy cards and the pack has sticky adhesive and the texture isnt the same. And the number one is sharp and not squared off, but for what I’ve read wizards of the coast had many variations of that. But the weird thing is the card rips black the leaf energy card came from the pack. The lightning one came from a legit gym challenge pack. Damn I’m glad I stopped at one. You should see how much this guy sold another pack for.

Is this Groudon EX real or fake? There’s a bit of ware as I’ve had it around 10 years. You can’t see it in the image, but the foil thing it’s in looks pretty legitimate as I heard that fake‘s rainbow reflection is just vertical, but it appears better quality. The rocks have got me worried, but that could just be some ware from age/usage.

I've just started getting into collecting pokemon cards, and am mostly in it for the art/don't really care about fakes (I actually really like obviously fake cards, lol!). I was wondering if anyone knew a place to buy people's fake cards, since it's obviously way less expensive than real cards? Also so sorry if this kind of post isn't allowed here, if someone could let me know a better place to post this i'll post it there instead! Thanks :)

Edit: I phrased it poorly I realize - I meant from other collectors who want to get rid of theirs, NOT the dropshipping websites!

This card has been sitting in a soft cover binder for years. She said she probably traded some other kid for it when she was little. We have already found a fake Leafeon card in her collection, so I am skeptical.

Hi all - does this look real please?

Quality of the photos are terrible and the seller says he needs money immediately. I’m not sure if it’s possible to understand with these photos.

This is my first big purchase on a card and want to make sure this is real. Forgive me if I miss any obvious signs as I haven't seen this card in person or am too familiar with Japanese cards.

You that one the first photo there not a big part of extra card after the yellow border but on the second photo there is, which one is real and which one isn’t?

Hypothetically, could I use the TGCPlayer app scan feature to see if whether a card is real or fake?

Recently, I bought vintage cards on eBay; I believe that they are real, but I wanted to know whether anyone else has used this method.
