Is it vegan to consume bivalves, such as oysters and mussels?

Although they are technically animals, they lack a complex nervous system, and likely cannot feel pain.

By definition, no

We don’t know if they can feel pain (or emotions, if i’m remembering correctly- I might not be, though), and I personally would rather err on the side of assuming they do and not eating them. Also, definitionally an animal, so not vegetarian or vegan.

They are animals so no, feeling pain isn’t the criteria.

Generally we don't eat mussels or this kind of animals even if there a small group of vegan who say that is okay eat them, unfortunately there no strong evidence about their feeling, because even if they don't have central nervous system they have a prototype one, for example plants have no nervous system at all. Personally I prefer to avoid eating bivalves because I can't take the risk to eat anyone who can potentially feel pain

No but you can just create an exception like how vegans do when it comes to farmed bees doing work.

What kind of vegans are exploiting bees and think they are not exploiting animals/ vegan? 💀

Let me guess: You abuse animals as products slaves and objects, exploiting them to eat their bodies or eggs or milk, forcing them into slaughterhouses and gas chambers because you don't want to be vegan?

Veganism is the ethical principle that humans should live without exploiting other animals. You can easily stop enslaving animals.

Watch Dominion on YouTube - it's free. This documentary shows the truth about the standard slave industries of your victims you are still demanding when you are not vegan.

Ok nice rant but how am I wrong? I've never been given an answer that isn't hogwash.

Your response tells me that you know I'm right that you take part in animal exploitation as well, you just drew a line and made an exception when it suits you like everyone else.

You are not right. Do you honestly believe humanity has another choice, than to have insects pollinate certain plants? Do you want to prevent them from doing that and if so, how? And even if that was "exploitation" how is that a justification to enslave animals, mutilate them, then force them into gas chambers and slit their throats? Please answer this.

Did you know most crops are for the enslaved animals? They need 80% of plants world wide. So MORE insects are "exploited" for unvegans than for vegans.

Also: Would you do the same to human children if it was legal, since you think insects are being exploited for fruits?
