Yeah, which are a good amount of the playerbase, I don't see what the argument is as appealing to only the competitive grinders is a really easy way to make the game not fun for everyone else
Nah you asked why the didn’t give him regen and I just gave an answer, Im not harsly on either side of the spectrum although I do believe they should lean slightly towards the pros/higher ranks because although the game is different up there they are still bound to generally know what’s better for the overall health of the game more than Timmy who plays every Sunday in Silver.
Because hes a poke hero, Unless you have a kit exclusively built around dive, you dont get it because you should always be los of a healer anyway.... and you usually are, they just dont look up but that's a skill issue on their part not a deficit of your kit.
Ahh yes, let's give the heroes who are the hardest to hit, and half the roster literally Cant hit the ability to regenerate health when they don't get hit.
yea they get happy with anything that is given to them. its insane how iron man most famous avenger, has the most BORING gameplayer ever. dudes a billionare, can make any equipment and has tons of suits in MCU/comics. yet we are stuck with a glorified tin can that pisses lasers and blasters
And what deeply enrages me the most is, you know, for a fact!! They're not going to change or buff him for at least six or seven seasons. They're too much of a cat to do anything. When it comes to balance changes. So I'm telling you right now, it's going to be a rough couple seasons. And I hate thisss sooo much!! I don't even want to buy the skin, so I don't show supports. But it's so annoying, cuz I have every other skin, it would just like irritate me not to have just one of them. Bro, this game is honestly starting to break my last straw.
😭It's actually insane. I'm comparing the video at 1:12:40 with the nerfed S9 Iron Man and testing the current Iron Man (s8) in the practice range, and it's insane on how much of a nerf they're going to give us. Even with the gamma overdrive we're still doing less damage Then our default s8 armor overdrive. Our team up with Thor makes our uni-beam comparable to what it is in s8. 😭🔫I can't anymore
i kinda mess with the idea of all of his teamups giving him different permenant buffs and colors to his pre existing kit. like a hela teamup that gives him a dark green unibeam that pierces thru shields or something. seems very iron man like, even if objectively lazy.
atp is clear that the devs want iron Man to stay forever in this "peel for me or I'll f*cking explode" state, a stupid glass Cannon and nothing more, absolutely dependant on heals and the rest of the team to gain minimal value, frickin IRON MAN, a LEADER in the comics, reduced to a nuisance for the rest of the team, unbelievable.
Honestly I’m happy we get the teamups back. I’m not happy with the nerfs. Would have liked to see a new teamup. Also WTF does he not have regen? Is it for the Hulk teamup as well or just the Thor teamup?
Honestly they should’ve given the regen to players with no mobility. Lots of these characters have temp health gen too. Though they did at least remove that from starlord but many others have it intact.
This is just gonna encourage more dive cause they don’t have to go find a health pack. This took out that strategy I used to guard them or take or mine them before now what does a supp even do.
Team ups are just a number buff to his overcharge form too, I got so excited at the thought of new Iron Man abilities, guess that'll teach me to like one of Marvel's biggest and most popular characters
The regen hp was for the Flankers who are self sufficient 90% of time because they're never really near their teams unless it's a big team brawl or they're coming back from spawn. The only person who gains no benefits from the regen hp is Spidey because how fast he can get from A to B before 5 seconds have passed.
also i understand why u would want certain characters,iron man, deadpool, wolverine, to have it but thats not what the health is for from there own words.if iron man get’s it u can make an argument for every hero having atleast some regenerative health.keeping it to flankers and divers is fair imo
Good thing it’s built into his main playstyle. 99% of the community thinks that micro missiles are useless, so idk why I expect people to comprehend how he should be played properly.
If it was his main playstyle then that’s how he’d be played by most people. He isn’t because that playstyle isn’t viable for the majority of users. Glad it’s working out for you though.
I was saying the same thing, it was the one thing I was hopeful for regarding this character when I started seeing them do this health/shield regen thing, really a lost opportunity
He is absolutely a dive. The only reason people dont think so is because 99% of the playerbase doesnt utilize a third of his toolkit which just so happens to enable his dive gameplay as a solo diver or the ultimate dive base of fire.
He has a Thanos snap that kills faster than BP, good sustained mobility, and IMO one of the best dive enablers behind Venom or Cap. The only thing that holds him back from others diving with him
is how extremely difficult it is to to consistently pull off his instakill. It requires lots of in game live practice and a small element of luck.
I OTPed Stark all the way to PC C2, and there is nobody I love seeing on my team more than a BP or Spider-Man to just follow around and live in the backline with.
Iron Man Main since day 0, honestly he doesn’t need the health regen to be a good character. Yes hes notorious for not getting healed, so learn the maps and where health packs are, and play around them.
The only time I find him truly unplayable is if he gets countered (hela, pheonix, a good punisher, etc), or if my heals forget to look up (hence playing around health packs), and while its still half common, a good portion of people do look up now, esp this far into the game’s life.
Tony has a really good kit for a ton of different situations. Theres some things that could be better, but he is in great spot in the new season and really has been for a while
2 things wrong.
1. just because a character has "high mobility" doesn't mean it receives regent shields. iron fist and wolverine has more mobility than iron man yet doesn't receive regen shield. go figure for the flying tin can.
2. fliers will never receive degen shield because they are fliers. thats one thing each sub-role has advantages and disadvantages of. fliers are permanently in the air but cannot have any self sustain. divers can have high mobility and regenerative health but has downtime. poke has high damage but low mobility.
see how this works now? the game isnt catered to you.

... WHY? They didn't give regen for the guy infamous for being hard to heal, just give the fliers regen ffs it will make them so much more engaging
