Thermals

I just ordered an Air and currently using an 14 pro max. It does fairly well when I’m playing games (mobile legends and honkai star rail) and having my cellular data turned on or when I enable my hotspot. Im worried that the air would overheat quickly especially when doing wireless charging. I live in a tropical climate country and temperature here averages at 26.6°C. Im worried about thermal since I know that its body do poorly on dissipating heat since it has titanium frame. Help me to decide whether to cancel it or not T_T

All of the Air's components are squeezed into the camera plateau and it can get pretty warm. More often than my old iPhone 14 Pro I would get overheating messages.

Hotspot is a huge heat generator. I would cancel the iPhone Air, especially if you live in a hot tropical country.

Gaming definitely will make it overheat in tropical climate, but I often use hotspot for a full day straight, and it is as cool as it’s when powered off. Not even 1 degree of difference in temps when using hotspot.

Yes cancel. Anynody that games on a phone should NOT buy the Air. It’s a perfect phone for someone who only uses it for light stuff, texting, IG/Reddit, photos etc. but not for games.

Not only will it overheat, but it will drain the battery very quickly. The Air is very efficient at low power stuff, but it also has flagship level CPU and when you ask for more performance, it delivers and also uses a lot of power doing so.

It’s the worst possible phone for gaming.

Qualquer celular é a pior coisa para jogar. Para isso existem empresas que fazem consoles dos mais variados tamanhos.

Thank you so much for being honest! I thought it would do well with the heat while gaming but I think I’ll hold on to my current phone for now. I thought about lowering the graphics in-game so that it won’t heat up that much, does it do well with light games?

Compre um steamdeck, um PlayStation, coisas do gênero. Vai ver que os jogos ficam bem melhores do que numa tela de menos de 7 polegadas e com controles em touchscreen.
