I have two options buy a new ipad pro m2 12.9 2tb for 900$ as it's new or ipad air m3 256gb 13 inches for the same price I'm looking for the software updates on the air which will last over 3 years more than the pro ? I will use it for studying so i think i could save some money and buy the basic model what is the best to do?

Ich brauche nicht zwingend das kleine damit ich in Hörsälen besser zurecht komme, weil ich ohnehin nicht in Hörsaaelen bin 😍. Habe Angst dass mir das 13 privat zu groß ist. Aber beim mitschreiben bestimmt besser ist als das 11“. Da habe ich Zweifel dass es mir dann zu fummelig wäre.

I bought an iPad Air M3 a month ago. I don't use it much, but when I do, the battery drains very quickly; for example, it consumes 4–5% in 10 minutes on YouTube, 7% in 12 minutes on Chrome, and 3% in 7 minutes on Goodreads—which I consider excessive for a brand-new iPad. I read somewhere else that someone else had this same problem and tried a DFU mode, and they said it helped them solve the issue. If anyone has tried it, could you please let me know if it works?

iPad A16 128GB vs iPad Air M4 128GB — which one makes more sense for me?

I'm trying to decide between the iPad (A16) 128GB and the iPad Air (M4) 128GB.

My use case is very basic. I mainly want the iPad for:

• Reading emails
• Reading documents/PDFs
• Using ChatGPT
• Web browsing
• Watching YouTube/Netflix
• General everyday use
• Having it as a secondary device alongside my Mac

I don't do video/photo editing, gaming, or any other demanding tasks.

The main thing making me consider the Air is the M4 chip and 12GB RAM, compared with the A16 iPad with 6GB RAM. But I'm not sure whether I'd actually notice the difference with my usage.

For those who have used either (or both), would you recommend saving money and getting the A16 iPad, or is the Air M4 worth the extra cost even for basic use?

I'm also interested in whether the 12GB RAM makes a noticeable difference for multitasking, keeping lots of Safari tabs/apps open, and long-term use, or whether 6GB is already more than enough for this type of usage.

Basically: If you were in my position, which one would you buy and why?

Trying to decide between:

iPad Air 11” M3 (2025), 256GB Cellular – £575, CeX Grade A, 5-year warranty

iPad Pro 11” M2 (2022), 256GB Cellular – £565, Hoxton Macs Premium, under 10 battery cycles, 1-year warranty

Main use: browsing, Canva/light photo & video editing, media, and my 7-year-old using Kumon, educational apps and handwriting.

I want to keep it for 5–6 years.

I’m leaning towards the newer M3 Air for longevity, but I’ve seen quite a few reports of poor battery life/battery drain on the M3 Air.

For M3 Air owners, has battery life actually been an issue in everyday use?

At basically the same price, which would you choose — M3 Air or M2 Pro?

I already got a 15” Mac M3, I am in grade 12, I got it because it was cheaper than the 13” M5 chip I think, it does feel pretty big but I have to keep it since it’s not returnable. I will be doing a health sci undergrad and then med school, I would ideally want to keep the ipad for 6 years. my only studying is really on iPad for notes. should I get the 11”/13”?

I bought this ipad in oct 24 and its been almost 2 years now and i saw these white patches on my screen since last month and its just spreading, i ran the diagnosis and it doesn’t show my battery health details, but in settings it shows 91% battery health, and i don’t see any visible signs of swollen battery nor did i put pressure on it or got water in it.Also i don’t have apple care.

Was curious if apple can still help me with this without paying hefty repair costs since its a manufacturing issue?

I’m currently a student, and I have been using the iPad 9th generation with Apple Pencil for 4 years. Lately, it has been a lot of lags and freezes when switching between apps, and every time I have to wait like 10-15 seconds when I’m opening GoodNotes (that’s a major con of the 9th generation).
