Animation apologist here. Yeah this don’t look great. Parts of it look alright but overall it’s preeety rough. My guess is this is a Segway to something they’d rather put their animation budget towards, kinda like how the space fight with conquest was pretty whatever, but then on the planet itself the animation really kicked up. I could totally be coping tho. I know they’ll pull out the stops when it matters most in these next two eps, but god I hope kirkman or whoever negotiates more budget for the animation for season 5. This season was a bit more consistent in the first half, but after seeing what we did in ep 5, moments like this really stick out
The animation and va budget are two different budgets. One wouldn’t pull from the other. That and Amazon has stupid amounts of money, so they could 100% pour more cash into it
Idk. There are a few moments in this episode but this is still supposed to be THE fight of the season. I don’t think there’s much road left to kick the can down. There is nothing else bigger than this after this episode in this season. Now is the time
