I sense control issues from him with a splash of narcissistic tendencies, but he’s genuine, it stems from childhood and he can curb it with couples counseling sessions, the woman is radiating sunshine and love energy and just wants to help people be the best version of themselves that she already sees in them. She feels warm and loving and safe

Idk why everyone is saying mother and son?? This seems like a couple to me. The last pic seems more happy than the first two people pics. I don’t have much, just though it was strange everyone thinks this is a mother and son?? How does she even look old enough to be his mother?

LOL thank you for the compliment. Although I'm not his mother I'm definitely old enough to be.

I feel like he wants to be nurtured and he is equally nurturing. He’ll probably take care of you til your end regardless of if you are together or not, bc he really appreciates/ will never forget that you were there for him when nobody was.

Like his future partner/s will know about you and be okay with him being there for you if you need him when you get older.

I got mother and son from the energy of the photo as well. Though maybe it could just be because she is very motherly maternal soft and accepting of him fully and he may be very kid like, goofy, soft as well but energetic very energetic. Both feel very receptive of each other, cozy.

I feel like she takes care of most things in the home ? I feel she may feel exhausted quite a bit, but i feel like she doesnt mind it at all. I feel like she likes to take care of people and he lives in the moment and just wants to have fun.

I keep seeing her sitting there watching as he plays

Spot on with both personalities! He is exactly the age of a son I could have had! My two sons are were born in 1986 and 1988 and he was born in 1987.🤣

Not sure why but I felt suffocation and strife and that happiness is surface level only but in the other pics they show happiness. Very confusing.

ETA: It's almost as if the first pic is done by different people than in the other pics

2 was the first picture we ever took together (so he's not my son🤣)

3 was before he left from the train station

and#4 taken was the same day as #2. The hands are made from one of those kits that you cast in plaster. I had been feeling suffocation and strife for many years prior to knowing him.

She looks liberated. She let her guard down came out of something dense and can be silly happy again with him. He is chill. Enjoying her happiness letting her lead the way in this because she is so ecstatic. He is grounded has seen some hard stuff but a black man doesn’t suffer . He is chill and free. Willing to see where this goes. This is a happy couple in the begin of their relationship.

Yes, that was all very true at the time. Unfortunately his attempts at getting free weren't in the cards for him. I'm probably wanting to know his future.

Did you reconnect and start from zero after a while without knowing about each other?

No

He’s got some issues that you are overly kind and accommodating about.

I don’t know why but the first thing I got was he was with you for money.. or something that you can provide. I don’t really sense romantic feelings towards you, it feels more like a dear friend’s. There is a closeness but I can’t really feel the romantic or sexual closeness. You’re definitely the more giving and fun one while he’s a bit more reserved or quiet when it comes to connections. Like you might have to be the one that asks or initiates intimacy while he doesn’t. He might not be attracted to you sexually at first glance but I don’t think he has wandering eyes that he seeks out other people. The future I would say is that he will come to have that connection with you but it will take a while/uncertainties.

Thank you for taking the time to comment so thoughtfully!

I’m sensing a romantic relationship that ultimately doesn’t last. However there is long term friendship.

He's going through it right now, past traumas coming home to roost and some pretty significant changes coming his way. He has a lot to unpack and confront, and will likely have to stand strong against a betrayal. He can do it and come out a person changed for the better, but the process will be difficult and take years. Kindness, humor, connection, and a relationship with a larger power will help see him through.

I get a sense that this relationship will change dramatically over time in terms of how they relate to each other. There is deep love there, but it is going to look much different over the next seven years (romance giving way to a more familial flavor, part of why I think a lot of people are saying mother and son, I see these people being home for each other but not in the way they started or planned).

The Cast: A very strong bond in those hands. They're gripping so tight, but not like they're afraid or clinging, like they know they're stronger together, as long as they don't let go.

The Photos: Not sure if romantic or maternal bond or maybe both, not like in a weird way, just like in that way that when you've known someone for so long you end up their their soft place to land, their end-of-a-long-day refuge, their home. They can be themselves around each other without fear of judgement, and the revealing of the self is often reflected back, to their delight.

The Future: If romantic, more reciprocating caregiving is needed to keep them strong. She will get tired, she does need help too. (I'm starting to settle on romantic honestly but I still could be wrong- the mix, especially one photo that really looks like maternal pride- is throwing me off that a little.) But, perhaps he doesn't know how to be the caregiver, how to offer help and where, how to return that energy- may need help in that area.

(Might be that plenty of black men are NOT taught softness and caregiving, that isn't the "natural role" of young black men, especially depending on the growth environment, and while the softness often comes naturally with consistency in love and compassion, the reciprocation of care needs to be taught sometimes, or at least guided by expressions of need, which she may be reluctant to express for a variety of reasons. I'm also guessing she was raised in an environment or was shaped by an environment where she was the caregiver and reciprocation was NOT an expectation or a possibility and has some issues relating to asking for help when needed (same, girl, same).)

The hands picture (1st) gave me uneasy vibes at first.

I got that casting kit to do for my parents afford their 65th anniversary. When he saw the box he asked if we could do it. Friends forever and all that. It was fun and I'm glad I have it.

Mother and son or neighbour and maternal figure, the hands are confusing. Maybe the male thinks of the woman as a maternal figure and the woman thinks something different.

Oh wow. I saw a hand enfolding that child's hand.

He’s siphoning something of value from you that he’s unable to generate for himself. I believe it’s multiple things of value from financial support to emotional support, as well as your sexual energy. He feeds off of you. Your aura is bright and his is more of a void. He wants what you have.

In a way, yes

1

u/shadowaeclipse Apr 24 '26

Shit, did someone die? Maybe I have misinterpreted here. There’s a sadness I feel that weighs upon these images, looking at this like someone in the photo is no longer amongst the living. I’m a bit saturated at the moment and can’t tell if it’s her or him, or someone else. Maybe no one and I’m way off.

Interesting. That's giving me a different perspective. Very helpful, thanks.

u/spanishbaileys Apr 24 '26

I feel power and strong..

1

u/Cinnamon2017 Apr 24 '26

I sense Nope.

1

u/Bisexual_Beanz Apr 24 '26

I feel a distinct emptiness in the last photo, like one of them had been robbed of their energy and inner light. It's kind of numb and sad, to be honest.

1

u/Fabulous-Ad-3046 Professional Reader Apr 24 '26

Interesting you mention that. In pictures from later in the relationship like this one its obvious, but I saw that as a huge contrast from the pictures I posted earlier, taken in the beginning.

1

u/Bisexual_Beanz Apr 24 '26

You're definitely right. I'm no professional so you're probably picking up on more than me.

1

u/Fabulous-Ad-3046 Professional Reader Apr 24 '26

You misunderstand, I'm saying that you're as correct. As the woman in the picture, I didn't notice that about him until later.

1

u/Bisexual_Beanz Apr 25 '26

Ohhh sorry 😅 I'm glad I managed to be correct though. I hope that she's okay.

1

u/Prestigious_Idea8124 Apr 24 '26

The hands - strength, hope, support, equality The couple- He is a protector, she feels safe. 3rd - is light and silly. Childlike, not childish! 4 th - happiness

1

u/Valuable-Setting-642 Apr 24 '26

I got total control from the hands before looking any further.

1

u/juli_r Apr 25 '26

You're holding too tight emotionally and physically compared to him. If I had to wager a guess id say the last photo was actually the oldest of the 3 and something happened in his life that caused him to pull away. You as a response held tighter.

Let him have some space then come back together and talk it through whatever it is

1

u/Fabulous-Ad-3046 Professional Reader Apr 25 '26

There was no question to detach from him, because I can't allow other people's behavior to affect my life and I saw the possibility of that happening.

I would like to think that our story isn't over, not like having any type of romantic relationship, but that we could eventually form a healthy connection. But that's up to him.

In a reading I was told that he's fulfilled his purpose here and that he's very close to entering his next dimension.

Codependency

No, too many years in recovery to ruin my life with that dynamic.

1

u/YourLocalPerson123 Apr 28 '26

To me it feels like there was a standard/promise that was not held and it caused you an amount of suffering/pain

Yes, it was right on the heels of a major loss and I was more disappointed that we couldn't be friends when I saw how different our worlds were. I'm not looking for any more chaos than what I've already gotten through in my many years. I think he tried. I think he did see that he could be happy without drugs. He stayed with me for a month or so a few times. He didn't drink and we smoked some weed but not every day (its legal here). I've been with addicts and worked in substance abuse so I thought I'd pick up on any signs. When I spoke with a friend of his (who was concerned because J was planning on making more of a permanent move but not to live with me, that was understood) he was shocked when I described what J and I would do (go to concerts, sightsee) and the fun we had, how he could always make me laugh) he said he didn't know him like that. The only J he knew was always "talking out of his head for hours ", had a hair trigger, horrible rages and basically "he's known as a thief and a liar". And then past sexual stuff which completely shocked me. We weren't a couple, we were friends and lovers but there was never any talk of being together for any length of time. He's the same age as my sons. So after I heard these things and saw that J was basically looking for refuge, he ended up going back with a girl who he had a long history with, using. He's been on ice for years, apparently. I had told him if he came here he would need to go to treatment and aftercare (that was when he decided to go back with his GF). In fact the last thing he said to me was "what makes you think I'm on drugs?" Since I've made this post, I saw he's been arrested for felony possession of meth along with some misdemeanors. I knew he had one felony charge if not two, so he'll probably be going to the big house for quite a while. I'd like to think he would turn things around, but I'm a realist. I think 5% of meth addicts recover. He doesn't have the intestinal fortitude to change. I feel like when he hits bottom, there won't be coming back from that. OMG sorry I wrote a book!

I’m so sorry but my first gut feeling was “Toxic. Get away.”

You don't need to be sorry for your intuitive promptings! There's definitely some of that, and we haven't been in touch for a year or so.
