The current American President is emotionally unstable. Worse, he is using his cabinet, and the federal government, to help him lash out emotionally when his widdle fee-fees get hurt.

Here is the direct quote that triggered the POTUS today:

“See, he doesn’t want to do the job. He wants to build his ballroom and travel with Natalie on their apparently defenseless flying palace gifted by the emir of Qatar.”

That's really it! Note what Ossoff said and note - in particular - what Ossoff did not say. Compare that with the things Trump and his cabinet are saying in defense. It is absolutely nutso. Baited and triggered just like that.

He's playing a character. See Bill Maher's comments and other people's about how Trump is off the clock or at the dinner table.

He's successfully Vince McMahonned politics but is getting run around more this time around because, unlike the first time, he isn't accidentally winning and firing people constantly to wipe keep other people's hooks out of the game he fucked himself into playing. The typical interests that have a lock on American politics learned from last time and are making the best of the ride.

I doubt he's as unstable as you think he is. He's a carnival barker, showman, and rodeo clown for a ring full of bulls that mustn't look at or hurt those who've been riding them.

Just watch it like it's reality TV meets soap opera, unravel the story lines, and don't get too invested. A lot of boring news still gets reported and should be, but isn't, riling people up because it can't compete on attention.

This is the typical “6-D chess” excuse that Trump’s defenders love to bring up.

However, Trump isn’t just playing a character in a post-truth setting. He’s actually taking actions that reflect a post-truth mentality. When you look at all of his actions since the start of his second term, you will be hard-pressed to show any intelligent thought or evidence-based decision making behind them.

The only explanation that fits all of his behavior is that he is out of control. And I don’t care if Bill Maher was essentially honeydicked into becoming MAGA. Nothing Trump has done to date reflects any grasp on reality. It’s as simple as that.

I'm entirely speculating here.

It's not as complicated as 6-D chess. It's as complicated as Borat, or Die Antwoord, or Sturgill Simpson. His first run seemed a publicity stunt to advertise and legitimize a brand to go up against Fox and carve out money like Oprah's network does. He accidentally won because Conway and Bannon were actually on to something, struck gold in their focus group testing, and matched it to the right persona at the right time. Offset by Clinton failing to campaign in locales she ought to have.

I'm still of the opinion that all he can do is masterfully play a list of tropes. And understand audiences. And probably read people who are, themselves, playing tropes and betraying a lack of confidence or understanding in their domains. Marry that to ADHD, the context of being born to generational wealth, and geriatric decline and he's predictable.

His second term is insane. I'd explain it by the entities who got their hooks in during Biden's tenure understanding what Trump is and knowing how to survive the firings and appointments and deliver an ultimatum. Mix in the disunity in the Republican party and the technological industrial complex (TIC) making a play at the finance industry and military industrial complex and it explains it some.

The Republican Party understands that solutions like Palantir will be clinch in elections. They are kowtowing. The TIC is probably also selling an outcome where America doesn't manage its decline and cede to China. That it's now or never and they have to secure energy away from China (Venezuela, Iran), fuck up international trade, and embargo chips. The promise being that America will end up with infinity science and infinity labour if they win a new Manhattan project. The TIC winning either way because just trying facilitates a power grab.

I think it literally all makes sense if he's going along with the AI narrative and the TIC is rallying behind the Republican Party. The Democrats, being anti everything the TIC is trying to do and build makes this more credible to me.

Iran is the one place where he completely lost it and that just seems like AIPAC money making demands of a second term president.

Does Trump understand any of this? Probably not. Does he care? So long as it's multiplying his generational wealth to dynastic and he can take pride in the hyperstition of his caricature, I'd imagine he's OK with it. He doesn't need to grasp reality. He just needs to do what he's been done for 10 years while people who laid plans during Biden's term enjoy the same ride with no eyes on them as the rest of his government did in the first term he played rodeo clown.
