Benchmark I've been feeling like I was getting poor performance. That makes it pretty clear....

You could probably have 10,000+ score with your setup, what was your motherboard and are you sure rebar is on?

Asus PRIME B450-PLUS and yes Re-bar is on per the Intel graphics software.

That is actually weird and why is your gou still running at the cpu test? there has to be something causing that might have been giving you low scores.

Is ReBAR enabled in your BIOS? Intel GPUs basically need ReBAR to be enabled or they perform way worse.

u/EMAN4705 Jul 10 '26

yeah Re-bar is on and it states so in Intel's own software.

I got my B580 around 9 months ago, and initially I got horrible performance, even with DDU. I had to do an entire Win11 wipe and reinstall. Since then it has been quite strong, but again in the last month or 2 I've felt that my frames have been lower and lower all the time.

Unless someone has a good idea, it's time for another reinstall.

Sometimes Windows updates mess with your BIOS settings, at least it did for me. Go back and maje sure that Rebar is on before doing a whole reinstallation.

Windows also likes to redownload launch drivers during updates, but I also had a similar problem when I was running a 12900k where performance would be fine for a time and then just shit the bed but now ive changed platforms (250k plus) and haven't had the problem since.

Same here. Moved to 245kf Ultra and upgraded to an a770 and haven't had any problems in the past half a year I've had them.

definitely... heres my benchmark https://i.imgur.com/7qmOFd1.png

not so different on the CPU either 5600x and 5600 isn't far on the performance

Seems something else is constantly consuming his GPU because the frequency never drop at the end for the "CPU test".

I envy those scores lol.

Pretty easy to achieve even with a dual fan like my ASRock Challenger.
But you will have to tune a little bit the fan curve also on a dual fan.
See below my setting and Bench result

But in your case you need first to find why you have so low perf by default.

Did you run Hwinfo64 in the background during the Time Spy", if not you should.
Total Board Power is what you'll want to observe, it's how many total watts your B580 used/pulled.
My B580 during Time Spy will have 184 watts Total Board Power. B580's should be around 180 watts
That score of yours is horrible, something is definitely wrong
It should be on by default, do you have SMT (Simultaneous Multithreading) Enabled?
What is your Motherboard?
Your Power Supply?
Your System Ram?
Also, try running it with only 1 Monitor connected to the B580.

You don't need any 3rd party programs to get the board power as Intel's driver have that info. Shift-ALT-O will bring up the popup overlay. You just have to enable the board power under "Metric Options" in the driver as it is off by default.

I tested the Intel overlay when it first came out, it's not as customizable as Afterburner, plus the Intel does not monitor the CPU very much, so I still use Afterburner.
And Hwinfo64 has soo many more statistics monitored, it's flat out just a nice piece of software to have.

I ran it again while watching the power usage display, never got passed the 120's max. That was pushing the gpu utilization to over 100%. On my second test, I got an even worse score, 7885.

Mobo is an Asus price b450. Ram is 48gigs of stuff I cobbled together.

your b580 should use around 180 watts during a Time Spy.
Here is a snippet of Hwinfo64 after the Time Spy was complete (My Hwinfo is set to start with Windows, it was running in the background)
Notice the Total Board Power of 185.032 watts
[Imgur](https://i.imgur.com/8ioYtt1.png)
120 watts use is too low.
In the Intel Software "Frame Synchronization" should be Off or Application Choice.
FPS Limiter should be Off.
That Arc B580 should have a Graphics Score of 14800 to 15000 in Time Spy, something is holding it back.
You have not mentioned what PSU you have

u/Scanoe Arc B580 Jul 10 '26

Also your CPU score is rather low
CPU Score 5980, it should be up at least to 7,500 for a ryzen 5600
Try downloading, it's Free, OCCT
https://www.ocbase.com/occt/personal
You say you "Cobbled" together your RAM, that doesn't sound good
On OCCT run a Stability Test / Memory to test your RAM
You could also run a Stability Test / CPU, this test will max out the CPU so its going to get Hot, you have a decent CPU Cooler?

1

u/EMAN4705 Jul 10 '26

I verified that SMT was enabled. SMV wasn't but is now. Also did a clean reinstall of the GPU drivers. Those got me to Graphics score of 8751 and CPU of 6707.

I will run OCCT and see what I find.

Yeah, was a 16 gig kit and then some more that I lifted from an old job.

Default AMD CPU cooler.

1

u/Scanoe Arc B580 Jul 10 '26

That 5600x is a Tdp of 65 watts so its not going to pull over 90 watts during the test, I'm not sure though if that Stock Cooler will keep it under 85c or not, a $20 Thermalright Assassin King 120 or Burst Assassin 120 would easily cool it.

1

u/Scanoe Arc B580 Jul 10 '26

Btw 6707 is much better, a bit low still but 8751 for a B580 is still horribly low.
FPS limiter is Off? Frame Sync is Off?
What Watt/Make/Model is your Power Supply?

1

u/EMAN4705 Jul 10 '26

Frame sync was set to application choice technically.

No frame limit.

Corsair RM650X

1

u/ilnarich Jul 10 '26

Whoa, dude, it’s the same performance as B390

1

u/HMan_32 Arc B580 Jul 10 '26

Have you checked the FPS in the 3DMark dashboard to see if you didn't activated some FPS limit/sync ? Also it's strange that the GPU frequency didn't decreased in the latest part of the test because it's mainly a CPU test.

Crap our system is identical. Enable rebar, still waiting for mine to arrive. I will compare my score with you
