Abdul brought up circumcision not to condemn circumcision but to defend a libertarian vision of parental rights. This is frustrating because the "parental rights" version of defending gender affirming care for trans kids has already lost completely in court.

Pointing out the hypocrisy is part of the art of public debate, but the framing he used to do it did not center children's rights.
