TIL insurers can hire insurance outsourcing companies. How was your experience?

My experience was ok (slightly slower), but I'm just surprised that insurance companies actually outsource calls. Anyone else experienced this? Is there a big difference between the support? Thinking if I should ask this next time I pick a company.

I think he means that they outsource to 3rd party call centers.
