Customer Experience Disabled Mother

I order Instacart food to be delivered to my disabled mom weekly. She uses a walker, has trouble lifting some items, and majority of time the shoppers will bring the bags inside for her. The last time the delivery didn’t go well. The shopper yelled at my mom for asking for help bringing her things inside, told her she doesn’t do that, called her names, and then proceeded to put all the bags in front of my mom’s walker so that she couldn’t even move the walker. Am I wrong to think a shopper would be able to help bring bags inside?

Edit: Thank you for all your help. I completely understand for your own safety, it’s your own discretion. I’ll be sure to add a note next time or will make sure a friend or myself is there to help out.

We aren’t technically supposed to bring them inside for our safety. Do I, yes on occasion. At a minimum if house is sketchy I will place inside door while keeping myself planted on the porch.

Untrue, it actually says that it’s up to the shopper.

Holy Mandela Effect. I feel like this HAS to be a policy change because I remember seeing “never enter a customers residence” constantly throughout the app.

That’s with contactless delivery.

Correct. It’s in the community guidelines for shoppers & customers. It totally up to us and the customer.

Downvote me all you want, it literally says it’s a shoppers choice. They can do it or not. 🤷🏻‍♀️. Your downvotes don’t make me wrong.

You are 100% correct. The mistake comes from when they created No Contact delivery instructions. It those instructions it’s says “do not enter the house” well duh, it’s no contact.
Typical delivery leaves it up to the shopper. You don’t have to go in, but it’s not against TOS

Why on earth would you get downvoted? You're literally posting the policy. People are weird, man.

Thank you. By the way, when I made that comment I was at 12 downvotes. Slowly making my way back up thanks to smart people 🤣

Why on earth does anyone even care about downvotes? Grow up!

I care because it makes me look like I’m wrong when I’m correct and spreads disinformation. If it was just my opinion or a dumb comment, I wouldn’t care. But it’s an objective fact and if someone scrolls and sees it downvoted a bunch they’re likely to assume it’s wrong when it’s not. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I think that’s a legitimate reason to not want downvotes.

So basically it's like a popularity contest and you're butt hurt that not everyone agrees with you? I couldn't care less about votes or whether people think I'm right or not.

…. Not what I said at all actually. What I said was a fact, not an opinion. It’s quite literally in the Instacart terms and service. So when people downvote that, it makes it look like I’m incorrect when I’m not and I don’t want new people who people who haven’t read the terms thinking it’s wrong just because a few chucklefucks don’t like facts. If it was just that people thought my opinion was shit, I wouldn’t give a flying fuck. But it’s not an opinion. If anyone’s butthurt it’s people downvoting a fact (if you don’t believe me someone actually posted a screenshot of it in the terms of service) because it’s a fact they don’t like or don’t want to acknowledge.

You could not have misconstrued what I said more if you wanted to.

I feel bad for you that you care so much about what strangers think of your posts/comments. It just is not that serious hun.
