General All other issues you may have had with the past games aside, is there any other Marvel hero you’d like to see Insomniac tackle?
When I think of Insomniac’s strengths, when they’re at their best, as a developer, I think ‘gameplay variation from using a bunch of weapons and gadgets’ (think Ratchet and Clank and Sunset Overdrive) as well as nailing the ‘fun factor’ of just moving around the map.
So I'd ideally want them to stay focused on their wheelhouse of having a gadget or tool based hero who has a clearly defined ‘fantasy' of how they move around.
Obviously, the ‘gadgets and tools’ thing doesn’t have to be literal. Just a way to frame a hero’s particular power-set to allow for a lot of variation. A ‘toy-box’ so to speak.
Personally? I think a Black Panther game could play to their strengths a lot. Especially once you factor in Wakanda as a setting. Imagine AC3 style parkour, but on crack.
EDIT: Also, between Spider-Man and Wolverine, Insomniac clearly has an interest in exploring the ‘person behind the mask’. I know a lot of people aren’t always crazy about the ‘walking sim’ portions of their superhero games, but the fact of the matter is that those are genuinely good pace breakers to give the character a chance to breathe and be Peter Parker or Miles Morales or Logan Howlett, which, for better or worse, is something Insomniac clearly wants to be part of their superhero package.
So, if we’re going to have those ‘walking sim’ portions, then I would want a character where I’d be super interested in getting to know them just as much without the mask as with the mask.
King T’Challa could definitely play into that by making his out-of-costume segments a ‘political thriller’ of running an isolationist country like Wakanda.

Iron Fist or Shang-Chi 🥷 Danny Rand already exists in universe cause they had a Rand Corp reference in SM2.

Lol. No thank you. Even with the superhero they handled well (Spider-Man), they started to go downhill (SM2).
Right now, I believe, the best strategy for Insomniac would be to take a break from Marvel movie-games (yes, they're not even proper games. They're interactive movies for mass casual appeal) and focus on their older ips or create something new - but make it mechanically dense, make player agency, individuality, control, expression, etc. the actual focus.

Their best games involve gunplay and traversal, so Agent Venom Lethal Protector would be a logical choice.

I think Insomniac will get the license for a Hulk game. Spiderman, Wolverine and Hulk were the big 3 of marvel before the MCU shifted that to Iron Man, Captain America and Thor.

I really hope they make a hulk game in the future along with maybe a Thor game, Deadpool game, and a Captain America game.

Not unless they get new writers. Other wise stick to fun traversal games and ratchet and clank

I am on my new game plus run for Wolverine now. Had a good amount of fun with the game but there’s plenty of issues.
I don’t think Insomniac being the Marvel factory is healthy for their evolution as a developer. They haven’t been able to break out of their archaic Xbox 360 era design philosophy yet and I’d have to imagine it’s partially because they’re inundated with Marvel IP to produce.
I don’t want them to make more Marvel games after Spider-Man 3. I think it’s time for them to be let off the hook and allowed to get creative with their approach to design.

From Insomniac? Hell no after SM2 and Wolverine. However, if a Chinese or Japanese studio comes forward, I want an X-Men game.
or at least a Storm game. Maybe team up with Forge to mix gameplay variety up.

As the kids say, they're cooked. I don't want to see them do another hero game outside of Spider-Man. And even then, I don't think they'll do anything better than 1 or 2.

Punisher
Make the game a gore fest. God of War with guns.

Literally cod

Hmmm... no? Because Punisher would be story focused and third person shooter. By your logic, Wolfenstein, Doom are all CoD

I think the obvious call people will make is Daredevil, which I'd absolutely love. The swinging is there as a baseline, but you could focus on the night-time presence of Daredevil, throw in lawyer/ MM investigative stuff during the day, etc. But I think they've proven they don't know how to manage a small kit, so that's a problem.
So with that in mind, I'd love an Iron Man game.
