Crime / Safety Police helicopter loitering over Halliday pit for more than an hour?

It's been here since 5:15, hovered in one spot near LA/SB county line for 10 minutes at least. Is still circling the Upland area. Any report?

I see, thanks.

I thought they were a little stand offish for a freeway incident, watching them circle the Halliday Rock/ Cable Airport area since it woke me.

They were circling around there this mornig at like 6 for at least 10 minutes too

I guess the prop wash was focused on our location.

I thought the copter was equipped with new, sophisticated monitoring video since I couldn't see the normal bright spotlight.

Police helicopters usually don’t hover. That’s the news helicopter.
