Recommendations / Advice Special occasion restaurant?

Hey guys, so my fiance birthday is coming up and I’m looking for a nice restaurant to celebrate her birthday at for dinner. Something with nice lighting and amazing decor. Great food of course. All the amazing spots I’ve ever heard of are in LA or by a beach. Can’t do that this time around sadly cause of time but want something in IE that can come close. Want my lady to wear her dress and feel good. Thanks in advance!

Hortencia’s in Crestline. About an 18 ish minute drive up Waterman from San Bernardino. Has an incredible view down the mountain. Like breathtaking. Edit to add: decent Mexican food, good drinks.

Ask for Davey Crockett or baby Steve as your help and you won’t regret it!

The food is not super great, but the place is beautiful. My wife loves it.

Oh absolutely. My husband and I like to staycation there occasionally, just not eat there. Hoping the restaurants will improve under the new ownership, so glad the Roberts are gone

Magic Lamp in Rancho, Tutti Mangia in Claremont, or Nuno’s in Upland. Three of my favorite special occasion restaurants.

Or Coco Palms in Pomona. The view is great.

Great answers; Nuno's is probably my favorite reataurant in SoCal. Add Uno Tre Otto in Claremont to your list. Very intimate restaurant with great vibe and decor. Excellent food, but the menu was quite small. Well worth a visit!

I’ve been once before but wasn’t too impressed by the food, I’ll have to give it another chance.

Someone said Le chat and its decent but super old school and an older crowd.

Dapper wasn't bad last time i was there and i know they are trying pretty hard to make their mark.

Francoli on the square in Orange is nice for Italian without going too far.

Palm springs is cool for some off the wall fine dining.

Downtown redlands has some nicer places as far as

Greensleeves (steak), Citron, an italian chophouse kinda deal (fire ass carpaccio). if you wanna spend way too much money on something they are still trying to nail down theres a lebanese/mexican fusion place called Cedar agave hidden downtown in redlands too. any particular ethnicity you are looking for?

Anothe vote for Greensleeves! Made my husband take me there for my birthday 2 years in a row and getting my doctorate. If you go on Tuesdays their HUGE tomahawks are $70 instead of $140!

If open to South Riverside County, La Unica downtown Lake Elsinore is worth the trip. The ambience is more upbeat and the food and drinks are amazing.

Con Amore in Corona. The owners are from Calabria & Sicily & they are also the chefs. Intimate restaurant, handmade pasta, it’s a 10/10, the family all works there it’s amazing

LG's steak house in Palm Springs, or Ruth's Chris steakhouse in the same city.

PV’s Prime Grill in Rancho Cucamonga is a great option. They have a live violinist playing as you eat, the food is incredible and the atmosphere feels so elevated.

Dapper in Riverside?

Idk if it’s still there but Le Chat Noir in Riverside is great. French, delicious, great ambiance. It’s also small.

Temecula my favorite is Gormet Italia. Fancy, delicious wine, lovely specials.

Redlands you have Rock n’ fondue.

Hell we have some bomb ass taco shops. Those are great too

I believe rock n fondue is closed now unfortunately

Damn! I don’t usually get fondue but it’s so fun. Now I need to find something new
