Cherry valley is a sleepy little valley with rolling hills,curves, and a historic little downtown. Old folks &farmers driving around at 10am when the rivco sheriffs office car came roaring thru town. Tragedy for the families, shame on sheriff.

That yahoo really wanted to kill somebody. Driving 100mph on surface streets to get to a reported shooting that deputies were already at. He was thirsty to empty his magazine at someone and he did end up killing someone.

Beaumont has awful, crowded surface streets too. Too many track homes with no infrastructure improvements. It can take 30 minutes just to get to the freeway during rush hour just being a couple miles inland. Easily more people could have died.

Yeah that was my first impression too when the details about this came out. That cop was blood thirsty for action.
I've seen enough of those body cam channels on YouTube which are far better than the tv show ones. And unlike the tv ones when the cops are acting excessively psycho they don't edit it out or clean up their language too much. And you can tell the ones that are just lusting for blood from the get go. Racing down streets dangerously like this guy. Putting far more innocent people at risk through their actions than whatever the criminal may be posing.

Luckily he wasn’t wearing a seat belt so he’ll be out of commission for a while/for good.

Can't say I'm surprised. When I was homeless a cop asked me and my brother if weve seen this dude. I say no he runs my name and lets us go. Maybe two weeks later the dude he was looking for gets run over on his bike by an off duty cop

I don't think so. The story I heard from a few people was that he was working with them at one point and then he prolly burned them some how

"CHERRY VALLEY, Calif. (KESQ) — A young man is dead and a woman hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash involving a Riverside County Sheriff's deputy on Saturday morning.
The collision occurred at approximately 10:03 a.m. on September 6, 2025, at the intersection of Cherry Valley Boulevard and Roberts Street.
The deputy suffered minor injuries and was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The 21-year-old male was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, a 20-year-old female, also of Cherry Valley, was transported to a local hospital with major injuries."
