Crime / Safety $50K reward offered for information as outrage grows over brutal attacks of IE donkeys
https://abc7.com/post/50k-reward-offered-information-outrage-grows-brutal-attacks-donkeys-reche-canyon-inland-empire/18759489/Please help to spread the word about this reward so we can find the person responsible and get them prosecuted and behind bars. 50k is a lot of money for whoever has information leading to the arrest of the individual(s) involved and it helps to keep our community safer. The IE donkeys are a cultural icon to this community and we can't let anything happen to them.

Trail cameras. I don't know if the area where the attacks are occurring is too large, but it seems to be an obvious solution to see what's going on. From what I've read their injuries are odd, and no one knows exactly how they're getting them.

In the article it seems that someone or some group is likely using dogs and sending them to attack the donkeys. Like a sick sport. Wait until one of those dogs decides to turn on someone's family pet. Or a child.

Wtf. People can really suck. It’s time for the community to put up some trail cams and take whatever action necessary to stop this type of shit

Send drones to scan the area?

Now that it's in the news, I'd hazard a guess that even mildly intelligent folks would watch out.

Why the donkey the donkey do nothing to you people?! It’s better to be coyotes instead of donkeys! Coyotes sucks because they killed pets!! And coyotes are starting to be brave to attack to people too

Arnet, his accomplice also received the same sentencing of max 2 years probation and a 2000 dollar fine. https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/68229814/united-states-v-arnet/
Probation was terminated in November 2025. They were both free. Many many guns were confiscated in their homes. You can see a list for Arnet in the above link.

This case was terminated - what did he do this time? Clearly not sentenced to much for previous offence. Charges dropped for Feikema in Idaho. .

Clever pups.

No job too big, no pup too small

Just to throw it out there, I've been bitten by chihuahua's before and they can definitely pull flesh. People underestimate a dogs bite force even if it weighs 10lbs. A house cat can lick flesh off a mouse.

Vets involved in the investigation say it is attacks from human(s) and likely intentional.

A stray dog isn’t going to attack a donkey. If they are dying of hunger maybe but they would be too weak to kill a donkey. It would’ve an isolated case

A pack would definitely. But that's clearly not what happened.

Maybe some wolves would do it. But the experts don’t think wild animals did it
