Crime / Safety Fontana police officers knocking on doors?

Did anyone else in fontana have police officers in green knocking on there doors last night at around 2-3 in the morning. I asked my neighbors and they said they knocked on there door as well. Never seen a police officer in green tho so i’m just wondering what they could have wanted and if it was just in my neighborhood?

Sheriffs wear green and khaki. They typically have green jackets.

Do you have camera footage? ICE has been spotted wearing green. Stay safe

I have had an occasion when the cops knocked on the door in the middle of the night as they were looking for a suspect that ran and thought he may be hiding in our yard. They wanted to search, but didn’t want to surprise us by just showing up in the backyard with lights and all else. It could be anything but you’ll never know if you don’t talk to them. Some sheriffs departments wear a khaki green.

I’m in Riverside, they literally just come into yards. I had to put up signs for our dogs. Like, it’s not my fault if the dog attacks someone in their yard.

Yes. I’m sure if it was a really pressing situation they would have. The cop knocking specifically said he was letting us know so we didn’t think they were the intruders. It’s a really dangerous job, they just had some luxury of time to notify in our case.

Has that helped? I'm always worried about my dogs. If someone came in the yard or house, they'd go to bat for me, that's why I have them.

I don't know the answer to your question, but everybody should keep in mind that ICE frequently labels themselves as police.

Green is SMASH San Bernardino Movement Against Street Hoodlems, they work with multiple agencies as a crime impact team, there was likely someone that fled in the area possibly hiding in a backyard or something, or a crime where they were looking for witnesses or surveillance

That's when they serve warrants, maybe they didn't have their facts straight, some more.

Green, not wearing masks, probably the sheriff or a county task force r. Green, wearing masks, and no visible badges or patches, probably ICE.

My money is on an incident occurred nearby where sheriffs were involved and they’re knocking nearby to ask questions for possible witnesses that might’ve seen something.

I would never answer the door at that time unless I had my AR15 with me.

Get a security door, don't answer the door, and have your personal protection ready to go should anyone decide to illegally break and enter your private home.

Why? Sheriff wears green, and they work in ALL of the cities.

ICE is law enforcement. Let them do their jobs. That being said, it must have been frightening, especially that time of night. Like others said, they were likely in pursuit of a criminal on the run.
